This is a wonderful place to get a good meal. Especially love to go there for breakfast. Has been on Balboa Island for many years.

There are not many breakfast places on Balboa Island, but this one is a must go. Big portions (may split) nice setting just a block from the water. A) walk around the island. B) have breakfast C) relax somewhere along the water (take extra coffee TO GO) Recommended MeuterMedia

The service was so good, so friendly and the food was wonderful. I was leery of the "homespun" atmosphere at first and quickly go over my fear. The food was some of the best I have had. Excellent fish and chips. Our party also loved the pancakes, milkshakes and burgers.

So good, that we returned the next day! The huevos rancheros were by far the best I have ever tasted!! The staff are wonderful. Despite being very busy, everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and we did not feel rushed. Several times each morning someone came to the table to inquire if everything was ok and ask if we needing... More

Very casual, relaxing setting for breakfast or lunch. Many options, including vegetarian. Patio seating as well as inside. Reasonable prices. Generous servings. Gracious wait staff. Will return.
