As someone who lives on the island, I've eaten at Wilma's many, many times over years. From family meals, visitor breakfasts, lunch with the girls to many a take out it's a staple. A classic eatery for the whole family. Great, friendly staff who are very accommodating. Summer weekends can require quite the wait, but worth it. Breakfasts are fantastic... More

This is the place the locals go. We were planning to go to another place for breakfast but the guy driving the ferry said Wilma's was the place to be. The service, food and atmosphere were all just right. We will definitely come again on our next visit to the island.

This place was really great. My son and I popped in for an evening meal, we were hungry after a flight from the east coast and it was 8pm-ish, my wife and daughter not so hungry were still browsing the Balboa Island shops but joined us later. The staff could not have been more accommodating, helping us with choices, giving... More

We have visited Balboa Island several times now and always go to Wilma's for breakfast at least once. The service is good and the food is solid. Fruit portions are substantial if you are opting out of the side of hash browns (although I don't often do that since they make them just like I like them!

Wilma' s was recommended by the hotel staff. He said everyone goes there. I wish we hadn't. I was very hungry for pasta. The menu said sauted garlic, onion, tomatoes over Angel hair pasta but turned out to be a heap of over cooked pasta in a tasteless. Marinara. My husband complained and they reduced his meal by half but... More

I had some time before a meeting on March 18th. Wilma's was recommended by my hotel, Hyatt in Newport Beach. They have great service and neat little spot. Waiters were very nice. I got the Jalisco scramble. It is eggs scrambled with cilantro, serranos, tomato and onion. I added chicken breast. It was so good and had the perfect amount... More

Stopped by Wilma's Patio for lunch-two sisters enjoying time together. The Reuben sandwich was delicious (so buttery), as were the cottage fries. The mahi mahi fish plate had lots of fruit and good coleslaw. The waiter was kind and friendly. We dined in the large back room all by ourselves. We had a great experience here. (Even took home some cottage... More

Our bellhop (who lives on Balboa) recommended Wilma's. They have terrific breakfast selections. There are a few outside tables. It was fun watching the folks walk the main drag in town. The salsa was fantastic. This is a don't miss.

Many people starts their Saturday and Sunday morning here. Come early or there will be a line Food is very good and reasonable, similar to COCOS, and it is in the heart of Balboa Island.

Restaurant is an institution on the island and should be better. The menu and quality of the ingredients needs updating. On a more positive note, they were very accommodating and the service was good.
