Six of us had lunch on the patio and were served by an enthusiastic waitress who enjoys her job (Lorraine). The meatloaf sandwich on grilled Parmesan cheese bread was great as well as huge and can be shared. Homemade soups daily, breakfast, lunch and dinner served. Our soup wasn't hot, so, all... read more

Another great meal. Had the tuna melt and round cut fries. Didn't have to wait. Seated right away. Friends had great salmon salad and prime rib sandwich.

I recommend eating a late breakfast here. They were very accomadating, the food was very good and service was excellent! If you are on Balboa Island make this a stop. Every server waited on you, which was nice. Prices for the large plates was very reasonable.

I recently spent a couple hours on Balboa Island with my wife, we decided to try Wilma's Patio for brunch primarily because the first open parking spot we found was right in front of the restaurant. We walked up and down Main St and checked out a couple other options, in the end we liked the variety and options on... More

We went for breakfast and it was a pleasant place for a good meal. The fresh fruit plate and cornbread with the egg dishes were the best features. Great location on Marine Ave in the merchant district

Breakfast can be, well, breakfast or it can be a dining experience. This was just a large breakfast. Long lines for a large restaurant should have turned over faster than it did, mostly because of the very slow service & kitchen. Extensive menu and lots to eat, but to wait 45 minutes after ordering & not seeing a waitress is... More

We were in town for a conference and needed more than the continental breakfast provided or the overprized hotel food. What a find! (Thanks guys at the check in desk.) The portions are huge (a side of fruit is a plate with pieces of watermelon, pineapple, apple, orange and cantaloupe). I got the Balboa Bomb -- a scrambled delight of... More

Had breakfast on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. Fantastic, amazing huevos rancheros. I added carnitas and gluten-free corn tortillas. Delicious. The enchiladas were great too. Won't need to eat for a while. A great find in the downtown area. Service was prompt and friendly. Five stars for a great diner/breakfast spot

Quaint and comfortable best describes this diner. You will not be disappointed with the food. Expect a little wait outside in the busy season. Prices are reasonable but higher than diners off the island. Servers are polite and personable.

Wilma's Patio is a lovely, warm, and comfortable eatery. Clean, bright, and inviting dining areas with even a small patio available should you wish to fine outdoors. In a nutshell: very nice people serving very good food very well! The menu is rather extensive with breakfast available all day. Mexican influenced options are quick tempting. More standard menu options abound... More
