Great food, excellent atmosphere

Love this little gem! Not only do they have great food, but the decor is amazing. They brought a little bit of Mexico to Culebra! I strongly suggest ordering the Sangria, very refreshing. We sat at the upcycled pallet tables which gave us a view of the entire outside dining area. The loose chickens... read more

We are use to Tex-Mex food in Texas. This was beyond good Mexica-flair food. Fresh, tasty, and good for you kind of food! The bar serves a passion fruit-mint mojito that is truly something special-even the virgin version was delicious!

This is a fun place to eat. Atmosphere is fun and the food is really good. Portions are large and arrive fast. Wait staff work together to create a quick service experience. The only negative: the tables. Why oh why would it be okay to ask your patrons to sit at rusty tables. The smell of rust gets on your... More

The food was good but the service was so slow & neglectful that I can't even rate them poor. Too bad too. The place would be great if they hired more servers that actually cared & had people skills.

You ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right and you miraculously make your way through it and the only ray of sunshine is that it's behind you and you can get on with your life? Thanks for making that day a part of our permanent public record. Seriously, though, sorry we dropped the ball service... More

I was really looking forward to this since Mexican food is basically non existent in the Islands. They do not serve any dishes at Zacos with corn tortillas, no tacos, tostadas, tamales, or fajitas with corn tortillas. Nothing. Same ol same ol doughy flour tortillas wrapped around whatever. No guacamole. No pinto beans. No fajitas. No refried beans or Mexican... More

food was ordinary, served on paper plates, the downstairs area smelled swampy. Not worth the high ratings we had seen.

Nice rustic location. Good menu, bad service, but hey it's Culebra - what do you expect? So for the review: I wanted to try the tacos, but my girlfriend wanted chips, and the burritos came with chips, so we decided on sharing both. It was like two different worlds. The tacos were flavourful, wonderful creations although slightly expensive. If I... More

My hubby and I really enjoyed the food at Zaco's, enough to go their twice during our trip to Culebra. Really nice outdoor atmosphere, hip vibe and tasty food. Highly recommend the nachos, pork tacos and fish tacos. That said, why all the plastic wear? Everything we consumed was served in or on plastic. Margaritas...served in plastic cups. Nachos...served on... More

This restaurant was great for a quick bite. My group was seated right away and enjoyed great tacos and burritos. Great service and fun atmosphere for friends.

We went here on the suggestion of another tourist who had been the night before. He said there was a steak on the specials menu that was fabulous. We snagged the last one. Oh My! We also shared the guac. Fresh made to order. And a few tacos. Crazy ingredients that were perfect together. Ahi and pork belly were my... More
