Barbara covers up her sign when she isn't open. You park on the rutted area that is where a lawn might be if it were not a parking area. The night we ate at Barbara's there were several parties that appeared to be friends/regulars along with us. Barbara cooks in a room in her house, you eat on the front... More

We arrived on Culebra late Sunday afternoon with no groceries and no golf carts were available. Thankfully, Barbara was open on a Sunday evening and in walking distance from where we were staying near the airfield. What a happy experience and a great way to begin our time and get settled into how things work on Culebra. We loved being... More

Food was great, funky atmosphere, BYOB, Barbara is amazing doing it all, literally. She only hangs her sign out when open so it is easy to miss, but don't. It is so worth it.

We saw the lights on at Barbara Rosa's after walking past it for a few days, and finally was able to eat there on a Thursday and Friday night. This is my favorite place to each at Culebra. Barbara is a great hostess and cook - the food was authentic and tasty and her porch (and Carly the Cat) made... More

I tell my husband if he only takes me out to dinner once a year, it had better be at Barbara Rosa. We've been going here for years, since she was at her other spot across the road. I have no idea how one woman can produce such delectable food from one small kitchen. She consistently churns out top-notch dinners... More

The experience of having dinner at Barbara Rosa's is as interesting as the food is terrific. The garlic-butter grilled grouper fillet was so good we had to go back the next night and have the same thing again. The octopus/squid in marinara sauce on pasta came in a close second. For dessert, try going down the street to the end... More

This is a very interesting place! Barbara is an amazing woman, she's been cooking on the island for over 25 years and she does it all by herself! As the other reviews mention, it is Barbaras house and you order straight in her living room, as you watch her make meals right in her kitchen! Then, you can come out... More

When Barbara Rosa has her Christmas lights turned on it means she is cooking dinner. We got there early on Valentines Day and both had her Grouper. It was a huge meal of fish, salad and fresh cut steak fries. We brought our own bottle of wine to drink. It was great. I would get there early as if you... More

This is an out of the ordinary place. The food was very good, we were lucky to try the famous shark nuggets. Barbara is not only a good chef but also an interesting person and you can tell solely from her eyes that she has experienced a lot in her life. Go and see for yourself, and make sure to... More

she does it all, takes the orders, cooks it all, lets you know when it's ready and then takes payment after you eat. A wonderful casual spot, BUT call or check before you go as she isn't open every day.
