We used to go to this casual place, fast service and delicious dishes. Last summer, we were really desapointed to find out that it was loosing these values. We gave it a second chance for another souper, but we experienced the same issues: long, long waitting time, lack of food quality and a completely mixed up person trying to take... More

I visited this restaurant twice during my stay in Culebra and the food was really good. The menu states that the food is prepared at the moment (after ordered) and that is why is takes time but its worth it. I asked for the pork chops and carne frita, both with fried plantains.

Do you have to wait a little bit for your food? Yes, you're on Culebra...a fact some of these other reviewers seem to have forgotten. Just chill out, BYOB, and dig in when your plate is ready. The place is fairly no frills but the food was excellent. I had the fried chuletas with rice & beans and tostones. The... More

I ordered steak there, it was not only from the super hard to chew meat but as well had soap taste to it, probably from the frying pen or so. They offered to re-cook it but this meat was horrible anyways, so I refused. Yet they charged for this steak in full, even though I just took a bite and... More

Great burger, good price, nice view. This place is located at the main street. Bring your own beer. They don't sale any alcoholic beverages, service is average, waiting time is normal.

Prices are very reasonable. Love its rice and beans. Has a Pool table to play while you wait for your dinner. Outside sitting tables have a beautifull view and cool breeze from the Ensenada Honda.

We went to El Batey on the recommendation of a local. It is BYOB, but we had a cooler with us so that worked in our favor. Several in our party ordered the burgers and they were very happy with the results! I ordered the grouper fish burger on both visits during our stay. Hands down they best fish sandwich... More

I went to El Batey for a late dinner and they served good local food in generous amounts. It is an open place so heat is a little trouble. The environment needs some improvements. Overall this is more a local-ambient restaurant than a charming gourmet place but you can expect good food.
