Good food and setting

The food was real good. Great taste and presentation. I had a steak and my wife had Mahi mahi. The only thing we did not like was a young lady waitress that did not have the same energy and service that the rest of the crew has. She was very bland, it seems like she had nothing to eat or... read more

This place is trying to be fancy, but falls flat. The food was ok. We had some sushi with undercooked rice on it. The entree was very good, but it wasn't amazing.

Familia...This was our first visit to Sussie's new location (last time they were in town). The new location is not next to the water however, the larger open space and ambiance makes it many times better. This place has a very romantic feel for example...It has a large open space from where you can gaze at a sky packed with... More

A gem only open on the weekends, I believe. Lush native plants throughout. Eveything is home made on premises. Folks in my party loved the sushi. Adorable little bar so cozy and warm you won't want to leave. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful. Well worth the visit and I would return again and again.

Not knowing opening times, we arrived at Susie's half an hour before their opening time. A gentleman let us in to sit in their comfortable waiting area til they offered us drinks 15 minutes later. The hostess, Deedee, was super sweet And friendly and the fresh lobster was delicious. My daughter ordered the salmon maki sushi roll and was underwhelmed,... More

The food was simply amazing. While there are definitely items on the menu that cater to the U.S.-based tourist who doesn't take culinary risks, there is enough local cuisine to leave those familiar with Puerto Rican food very satisfied. The chef is from the island and the primarily female staff were friendly, attentive, and funny. I would go back in... More

This had, BY FAR, the most innovative menu on Culebra. Some of the food was excellent, but not consistent. Atmosphere and service were both good. Definitely one of the better options and worth trying.

For our first night on Isla de Culebra, we wanted a special dinner. Maureen and Cliff at Casa Resaca suggested we make a reservation at Suzie's -and we were glad we did, we saw lots of people get turned away, it had rained HARD during most of the afternoon so their beautiful courtyard finding area was soaked, and they were... This restaurant is very well atended by it's owner Susie. Susie is a magnificent and original experienced chef who learned from great chefs on the "big island" (Puerto Rico). The space is ample, with various ambiances, terrace, outdoor, indoor, all is natural ventilation. It opens only at nights on the weekends. The food is superve, whole fish or lobster, super... More
