You won't be disappointed. Limited menu offerings, but the excel at everything the make. Service was amazingly hospitable and can't beat the location on the gorgeous white sandy beach on Jost Van Dyke.

The Soggy Dollar derives its name from the days when a buck would buy at least one drink. Sailors without tenders or dinghies would swim ashore with soaked currency. Food is good, but that's not why you are here. Drinks are generously poured and the scene at late night can be a riot. Don't miss it.

This was the highlight of our trip to the VI! So much fun! The people there are super friendly, the drinks were delicious, and there is plenty of beach for everyone! As others have said, you have to swim to the bar which makes it an even cooler adventure. Definitely a MUST!

There are a dozen beach bars ion the BVI's that could claim the title of the "best," but our vote goes to the Soggy Dollar. Other than their claim to fame as the inventor of the "Painkiller," the Soggy Dollar is right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. It gets its name from the fact that... More

I have been hearing about this place forever and now can see why! Place is amazing and so fun! Best drink by far is the Painkiller (you must try it- it's their specialty drink)! They call it the Soggy Dollar since you literally have to get off of your boat and get in the water (get wet) to get to... More

Best Painkiller on the island... Great atmosphere. A must do when in the BVI..... Laid back and just roll with it, that's what island life is all about.

I've heard about this place for years but on this trip to JVD, we finally made time to stop in. We arrived and the place was crazy, people everywhere, parties and lines for everything. Near the end of the day the place clears quickly, which was a perfect time to catch a nap in one of the many hammock. Of... More

If you are sailing in the BVI's this is a must stop. Buy a T-shirt and a painkiller! As far as beach bars...this is it!
