We had 3 hours to kill before our ferry, with a ton of luggage which we didn't want to haul around the island. We decided to give this little "snack bar" a shot, and we're glad we did! The food was delicious, and they were super sweet. Thank you for the hospitality!

Grabbed breakfast on the way to the ferry dock. Her specialty was a breakfast pie she called pate. Very similar to an empanada. Very tasty and a quick grab-n-go breakfast. Also got a great egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Very friendly and quick service and super convenient to the ferry.

A quaint, open, no frills island kitchen with the sweetest woman ever making the absolute best patty/empanada I've ever had! We tried the beef and the lobster patties and both were perfection as we watched her make the next batch by hand.

No joke, one of the best hamburgers I have ever had! It's right by the docks. Just a lovely lady and her kitchen. When we were there her sons were just heading out to catch dinner for the menu. Talk about fresh!

What a great place. You feel like you are family. Met Joan and her sons all very nice. The food is so good. Fridays pat'es are excellent. Beef & seafood. We had breakfast there a couple of times everything was delicious. Offers breakfast lunch & dinner opens at 7am. Also rents dinghys. Thank for making our trip even more enjoyable.

Be sure to stop in this little gem for a breakfast pat'e. Very much like a empanada, only better! We met all of the owners family at different spots on the island. My wife and I felt part of Joan's family.

On a trip as magnificent as boating around BVI, meeting Joan and enjoying her small space in the world for breakfast was near the top of the list. The service industry in BVI (especially during the off season) is an interesting creature. Laid back to the point of ambivalence in some cases. Everyone we met at Sugar and Spice (don't... More
