best memory

i just spent 10 days sailing from bay to bay in the BVI"s and those 10 days were packed full. So, when I say "best memory" that says ALOT. The owner of the restaurant,, Cynthia, dinghied over to our boat and charmed all 7 of us. She brought us menus and invited us to dinner. I have never seen... read more

Cynthia, the owner of Harris' Place came out to the boat and invited us to her restaurant shortly after catching a mooring ball in Little Harbour. Of course if you dine with her, no mooring fee charge. She is a hoot, and will keep you thoroughly entertained while serving you the best lobster. Her soup and sides were also great.... More

We heard of Cynthia through the grape vine of BVI regulars and thought we should check out her restaurant. It was an incredible dining experience to say the least. Such a cozy little harbor (no pun intended) with such a wonderful contrast to great harbor or white bay on Jost van dyke. There were so few customers the night we... More

I've been going to Little Harbor for a dozen years. It's a favorite spot for some down time from the hussle and bussle of the B.V.I. I've noticed that all of the families are competing for the business of the same few boats in the harbor. You'll notice it. I finally asked about the rivalry from multiple businesses. Most of... Harris' place seems to have gone downhill in the last few years, and we found the food lacking and the service has deteriorated. Cynthia has before seemed nice, but now she has developed an edge. After a friend moored for two nights she became angry when they ate one of their meals at the neighboring Sidney's. She charged them $60... More

While on a 10-day bareboat charter recently, we ended up mooring in the quiet bay on the East end of Jost where this place is located (along with Abe's and Sydney's). Since we were on a mooring that belongs to this place, we decided to try it. Later conversations led us to think we might have been OK with any... More

This was our 2nd visit. On our sailing adventure in 2012, Harris' was a highlight. As we planned our 2015 sailing trip, a return visit was required. As island restaurants go, the menu was standard, a fish dish, bbq chicken, a pasta, ribs, and grilled lobster. This trip, same as 2012, the food was good just nothing out of the... More

Wonderful meal. Cynthia is a sweet lady. Great lobster in a less populated area on the island. Great veggi plate.

Harris Place is such a great find. This is what the Caribbean was like twenty/thirty years ago. Sandy floors, rough wood framing, colorful lights and paint and nice friendly people. Cynthia is a hoot and a sweat heart, who goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Other places in the BVI have gone a little too... More

What a great place to eat and drink and off the beaten path. We anchored in Little Harbor Jost Van Dyke because the other harbors were full. Little Harbor has a few mooring balls and is not very popular. After we tied up, Cynthia (the owner of Harris' Place) motored out to collect the mooring fee. She personally invited us... More
