The best dining experience in the BVI with Cynthia

First things first, no mooring fees because Cynthia doesn't charge you. That's $30 off dinner already. Then the food. The fish soup (on the house) was one of the best I've ever had. Truly fresh and local. You are now $40 up on this meal. Then the main course, I had conch curry. It was one of... read more

Harris place offers a delicious dinner in a real island setting under palm trees and Christmas lights. We have been sailing in the BVI nearly 40 years and so much has changed. But Harris place located in tiny Little Harbor has the same feel it had way back when! Lobster dinner was excellent, grilled with butter and spices. The pig... More

A true island experience. The night we were there, the hostess, waitress, and cook were all the same person. It was fun. We ended up getting the drinks ourselves, no problem.

My wife and I pulled into Little Harbor and moored on the side where Harris' Place is located. Cynthia came straight out in her small rustic boat and collected a mooring fee. She invited us to dinner at her restaurant and recited in detail what seemed to us to be a remarkable menu for such a small place. We accepted... More

We spent a wonderful evening dining at Cynthia's. It was our 4- th visit to this place and as always everything was great. Cynthia helped us to dock the boat and was very personal and professional while serving the dinner. We were not in a rush, so we hadn't paid attention to how fast was our food served, but the... My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and had planned to go to Corsair's that evening however we the mooring balls were all taken at Great Harbor. We sailed to Little Harbor and were soon greeted by Cynthia (on a dinghy) who promised us a personal, lovely anniversary dinner and/or a call for a taxi to go to... More

My wife and I had dinner at Harris' on our latest trip to JVD. We called ahead and the owner, Cynthia, had a great table ready for us. Romantic table with a nice view of little harbor. We both had grilled lobster, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. Cynthia gave us some tips on the best way to get the... More

Our crew of eight was sailing the BVI over Thanksgiving and the weather did not cooperate to go to Anegada were we originally had reservations for Thanksgiving. I had heard of Harris' but had never eaten there in the past, So I called to make the reservation and spoke to Cynthia. From the first moment I spoke to her and... More

Our family visited Harris' Place last night and had a fantastic meal and just as great an experience. Cynthia (the owner) is so sweet, very intent on welcoming you to her restaurant and personally making sure everything is running smoothly. Our meals all included soup, salad, garlic bread and the best coleslaw I ever had. The lobster bisque was excellent... More

Cynthia Harris is friendly and personable, but sadly she does not know how to run a restaurant. Even though she's seen Sydney's Peace and Love, just 30' away, fill up all their tables night after night, year after year, she refuses to upgrade her surroundings. She believes that her "No. #2 rating on JVD" is all she needs; no need... More
