Nice dinner and love the atmosphere there. Old historical building.

Good meal. Crab soup was great. I should have gotten more and made that my meal. I could have that soup all night. I got the Mallards Mussels dish and it was loaded with huge mussels. Never seen them that size served in any restaurant before. They were tasty and not at all chewy. BUT the meal of... read more

Very disappointed in this highly anticipated visit to Mallards. Having dined at Mallards several years ago, at what we feel must have been the original location, and a few years later staying in Ocean City, MD, we drove to Mallards because we had enjoyed it so much! This visit was a drive from Greenbackville VA, where we were visiting our... More

Keysin10, Hello, my name is Johnny Mo. I am the chef owner of Mallards. I would like to sincerely apologize for your much less than favorable experience recently. The fact that we were preparing to close for two weeks for renovations should by no means justify the outcome of your dinner that evening. I agree that you should have been... More

We had lunch here on a really warm day so we are outside by the water. Very nice atmosphere. I had the rockfish salad it was fresh and perfectly cooked. Would definitely come back!

Had a good meal. It was a late lunch and they let us order appetizers off the dinner menu. Missed the crab cakes for the season but got rockfish that was delicious.

We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. It is November and we dined inside. Maybe dining on the deck increases the ambiance and the taste of the food. Service was decent. The pulled pork sandwich was average.

If you are in the area, be sure to swing in for some tasty bites and a good drink. This is a quaint little spot on the water that is well worth a visit.

Stopped in on our way down 13 based on TA reviews. Only one other couple but it did get more crowded after 7. Casual menu on Sundays but plenty of choices. Tomato based crab soup was tasty but not much crab. Salmon BLT was delicious, as was the small side of cole slaw. Fried oysters and rockfish were good. TA... More
