Visited Sands at Bleak House again last night with a friend & had another excellent meal. Every aspect of my meal was great, well seared scallops, excellent burger & a dessert to die for. The only let down with the food was my friends Chocolate & Coconut tart that had no coconut taste at all. However we were both impressed... More

Took some clients here for dinner mid week. Nice food, good menu choice and some set menus at a reasonable price. Found the staff to be pleasant and polite. Would def recommend if you are in the Woking area. Perhaps for Sunday lunch and then a walk on the common after?

What a nice welcoming place on a wet windy November night! There were enough choices on the menu for the four of us, including good vegetarian options - the verdict on these was enthusiastic. They were pronounced imaginative, interesting and good. The steak went down a treat and my sea bass was well-judged. It was pricey, I have to admit,... More

I have been to Sands 3 or 4 times this year and , I have to say the menu and the food are excellent. I do think it is a little on the expensive side but as you can be certain of a good meal then it's worth paying for. The staff have always been polite and helpful when quizzed... More

Great place to meet and eat, simple for me. The food was cooked and presented well, the service was friendly and timely and the atmosphere relaxed. It was good value too, particularly considering the generous portions of our meals. We had time to build our appetites with a brisk walk on Horsell Common before enjoying our meals. We will visit... Visited this poub 3 times over the year as I work nearby....hoping this time might have been an improvement on the food...not to be. Ordered a croque Monsieur and although presentation is good, the cheese wasnt melted and you could still taste the butter inside the bread...not good for a Croque Monsier where the cheese should be fully melted and... I visited here with work last week and while I have been told that the standard has improved in recent years, I found the food to be quite a disappointment. I decided to have the monkfish curry, which was burned and tasteless and I also believe that the rice may have been microwaved. The flat bread that was served with... More

I visited this restaurant as we were passing, Looked from the outside as if it was a good establishment, which is aiming to be better than the average eatery, which it is The service was very friendly, and the food was perfect, It is of course more expensive than pub food, but it aims to be more than a pub,... Popped in for a bar meal late last night and was very disappointed. I wish that I had a camera as the food was very poor and greasy. The saving grace is that the staff and wine/beer are good and it also has a nice ambiance.
