Having secured a baby-sitter for an afternoon, I decided to bring my wife here for a nice long lunch out in the sun. Nice big car park is always a welcome sign in my book and the it was off into the doors of a lovely building and escorted swiftly to our table out in the garden, but under some... More

Basically a decent Gastro Boozer offering a range of standard pub options in an upmarket style. I go at lunchtime. It can get busy call ahead and book for parties over 4

Went here last night with my husband and the last time we visited for supper was probably at least 3 years ago - oh how its changed. First of all if you want to have a conversation with your partner do not go into the large room to the right of the front entrance. The ceiling is high and the... More

I visited Sands with two friends on a Friday evening having booked ahead. The setting is great, a charming old building with a great contemporary feel inside. We enjoyed a drink at the bar where the staff were helpful & quick to serve. The food really was amazing both in presentation & in flavour. There's plenty of choice on the... More

We also were members of the post wedding party who came for a buffet meal on Sunday 1st June. We paid £10 a head. The food was dire. Probably value from Iceland or somewhere similar of £2 per head. It was a sad end to a lovely weekend and we all felt that we had been well and truly taken... More

Having just come away from there, and spending £10 per head with a bill of over £400 just for the food...the quality was shocking and by the time we got to the 15-20th person of 40....food had already run out!! And Iceland clearly did well out of them!!!....greasy and tiny tiny portions! The bacon covered chicken kebabs covered 20 covers... More

3rd time lucky in Sand's...I was hoping....I was outvoted by colleagues to visit this restaurant / pub. I purposely chose something never had before, hoping I'd just had duff food...had the cream of asparagus (think it was asparagus) & fennel? soup. It was like having a bowl of single cream, it was green in colour but no distinct taste of... More

Visited Sands at Bleak House again last night with a friend & had another excellent meal. Every aspect of my meal was great, well seared scallops, excellent burger & a dessert to die for. The only let down with the food was my friends Chocolate & Coconut tart that had no coconut taste at all. However we were both impressed... More

Took some clients here for dinner mid week. Nice food, good menu choice and some set menus at a reasonable price. Found the staff to be pleasant and polite. Would def recommend if you are in the Woking area. Perhaps for Sunday lunch and then a walk on the common after?
