Unique little pub great choice of beers

The food here is always lovely and fresh and piping hot on arivial. Just make sure you book as it gets very busy and the pub is quite small. Great choice of drinks if you enjoy beer or cider. Both the pub and toilets are always clean and staff are always running around clearing plates. Great... read more

Went to the co-op museum and called in for lunch and so pleased we did! Excellent food and service. Will be making the journey to go back, really nice atmosphere, like a traditional pub. It truly is unique, recommended!

The food is excellent, tastewise, valuewise and staffwise! The location is good and also the atmosphere. A firm favourite with my friends and me.:)

First time i have been to Rochdale for years and would highly recommend this establishment. They have a collection of ales and they have little jars in front of each ale to show you what colour the ale is (fab idea for people who are unsure). Lots of spirits, wine and beer on offer. Food menu has a good variety.... More

Went for 70th birthday party, lovely day so outside in the sun most of the time. Excellent choice of beers and the curry laid on was nearly as good as curries we get in Leicester.

This pub has been going for years which must say something. I first went with my parents around 35 years ago!!! I recently took my wife for something to eat and decided on a starter of tomato soup. Unfortunately this wasnt available but was, was beetroot and feta soup. I love trying things that I havent had before and ordered... More

You have to visit the pub when in Rochdale! The food is excellent, a good choice on the menu and wide range of drinks.

Called in for lunch when out in town. What could be better than a hot sandwich and a pint? Staff are very friendly and the menu is extensive. Lot of different real ales on sale and the bar staff are very knowledgeable. Well worth a visit, but book a table at busy times if you want to eat.

A visit with my wife this evening to The Baum. She has previously been on a couple of occasions with colleagues and I had to admit that having lived in and around Rochdale all my life, I'd never been inside the door. It's next to the Co-operative Museum in the Toad Lane conservation area - so you could kill two... More

Having decided on a different restaurant originally, only to find out it was not open on Monday, we detoured to the Baum. And it was such a lovely surprise. Having never previously been before we discovered this place is great for the perfect lunch! Staff were very efficient and the food was quickly served. No complaints to be had. Will... More
