Great food, great beers, fantastic staff, fantastic bar, fantastic garden area, customers are brilliant and mainly in their 40's / 50's so no silly behaviour, this is my favourite pub in the whole of the universe!

Always in here with friends having a drink and the beer and the atmosphere is so good. Had a Sunday dinner here and it was so nice! Lots on the plate, fresh ingredients and so tasty. Will be coming here again for food!

The Baum on Toad Lane is a find. Tucked away in a quiet, tiny street it has a rustic feel of the past. There is a beer garden and a conservatory at the rear of the pub. This a pub that serves pub food, lots of it. Tapas is on the menu but not of the Spanish variety, this is... More

Nestled in a small corner of a forgotten cobbled lane, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 21st Century Life, lies the Baum. The walls, adorned with turn of the century advertisements for recreation of the age, practically echo with the ghosts of the past - almost the last vestige of public hostilery of yesteryear. This little gem never... More

My husband and I decided to visit on a Saturday afternoon for a spot of lunch as we were in the area. Upon walking into the place the bar staff looked us up and down and then ignored us. I can honestly say it felt like walking into "The Slaughtered Lamb" Afer waiting at the bar for what seemed like... More

I regularly visit the Baum for food and drink. It is a great pub with a good selection of real ales, wines and speciality beers, and offers a good selection of pub food. On the negative side it can get very busy at the weekend and is sometimes standing room only. Also, the bottled beers (particularly the selection of Belgian... More

I like this pub, I don't know why I never made a bee-line for it on all my years drinking around this town in my youth. Went last week for a bit of a lunch party for an ex-work colleague who was leaving for pastures new, I had a cracking hot chicken baguette which was large enough to eat without... More
