Value and character

Tucked away behind the shopping centre, and within easy walking distance of the Rochdale Town Centre Metrolink stop, this is a character, down-to-earth pub which does good value food. There is a choice of areas to sit in, with groups of tables in different spaces in the pub, and a more modern... read more

Me and my Mum have been here quite a few times over the past few weeks, especially with the nice weather and thought the food was lovely so we obviously kept coming back! However today we came and thought it would be nice to spend a day at The Baum for my Mums birthday. We had pre ordered as we... More

The Baum is fantastic little pub hidden away on the historic Toad Lane, Rochdale. It's a very pretty little place from one side of the road as you look at the Co-operative Pioneers Museum, The Baum and the beautiful Parish church of St Mary. Sadly looking the other way is the back-end of the local shopping precinct which is best... More

A bar/restaurant with something to offer everyone who likes good food, great surroundings, interesting drinks and the promise of something new, it has warm friendly staff who look after you whilst your working out which of the 12 Gins to try or the umpteen beers on selection. The food is engaging but very tasty and caters for a wide range... More

The Baum serves a good range of guest real ales and also serves food. There is a range of regularly changing Tapas available, as well as more substantial meals and sandwiches.

I went with my husband for lunch during the week, the food was delicious. The staff very attentive and the beer and atmosphere wonderful. They have a terrific, varied menu with something to suit everyone. I can thoroughly recommend it, you won't be disappointed. We will visit again very soon.

Have been going here for many years and can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal. The steaks are locally sourced and are superb and cooked to perfection. I can also recommend the rag pudding and lamb burgers. There is always a good selection of ales on offer and the atmosphere is extremely convivial. This and its sister... More

Although drinking here is fine, the food leave much to be desired. I believe everything is previously frozen and at best has been microwaved or grilled. Even then it's not brilliant. We could have got better if we'd been to Iceland and then baked it in the oven. Honestly. In fact I think I've had these jalapeño things at New... More

Great beer selection. Good food, lovely surroundings and a large beer garden. Parking is an issue as not much available but as it is in the town centre you will find somewhere. Go and enjoy.
