Former winner of Camera national pub of the year this place is fantastic for both traditional ales & food. Well worth a visit - the hot roast beef sandwich is to die for!!

Went here for a small work gathering... Great little place with relaxed atmosphere, good priced beer and great little bar snack menu. Really enjoyed it and will go back!

Horrible day in Rochdale until the local postie gave us directions to his hidden gem. It was only a hundred yards from the market. Didn't eat a meal, only some snacks which were very tasty. Excellent beers on tap and a warm welcome from the staff. If you like your real ales this is the place to go, great variety... More

We had a couple of great local ales, followed by a disastrous array of tapas. Very unusual combinations of flavours, which did not work! Very sad! The chef appears overly fond of adding sugar in some fashion to every dish. Decent chips, though.

Great food, great beers, fantastic staff, fantastic bar, fantastic garden area, customers are brilliant and mainly in their 40's / 50's so no silly behaviour, this is my favourite pub in the whole of the universe!

The Baum on Toad Lane is a find. Tucked away in a quiet, tiny street it has a rustic feel of the past. There is a beer garden and a conservatory at the rear of the pub. This a pub that serves pub food, lots of it. Tapas is on the menu but not of the Spanish variety, this is... More
