Woe betide you turn up for breakfast at 10.21am

We came here for breakfast with the kids in half term. Usually we come on a weekend but this occasion was a Wednesday. We arrived at about 10:15. By the time we were seated (you have to pay first), another member of staff rushed over and sternly said that we had 9 minutes so better get any cereals... read more

Typical scenario of arriving late at the hotel next door with a young child and thinking we can't be bothered to drive around a new surrounding looking for a family friendly eatery. After the meal we had, we now find the time to avoid these establishments! Sat down for a meal, the starter was brought out within 10 minutes. 45... More

We stayed at the nearby premier Inn after a day out, an we were looking forward to a nice relaxing meal after a long day out at the Brewers fayre (that will teach us not to check trip advisor first) . We were told there would be a 40 minute wait for food, but that wasn't too bad, our son... More

We had booked a table for 11 people. The table had been taken by two separate parties who were only drinking.we told the assistant manager to move them as it was reserved for us. She said she had asked them to move but they refused. we told her to go and ask them again and she said she couldn't and... More

I ate here twice this week due to staying at the adjacent hotel. This due to being tired and not fancying a walk down to the marina. I wish I'd taken the walk as some great restaurants down there. The first night I put the bad experience down to having the curry from the chefs corner which is basically a... More

Next door to the hotel, warmed up prepack food but prices okay. We stayed here due to location and I must admit it wasn't as bad as the reviews. I wouldn't choose here for a meal but as a stopover perfectly acceptable

I arrived at the adjacent hotel about 5pm on Sunday and having hit eaten all day saw they were serving a carvery here so I decided to pop in. You are meant to find a table then order at the bar giving them a table number. Every table was either reserved, occupied or hadn't been cleaned so I eventually found... More

Been here lots of times and each time is different, even portion sizes vary by a huge amount. We have had great experiences and very poor so don't come very often anymore. This time we had the all you can eat curry night, for food itself was really tasty and great value but they had no labels this time so... More

It was quite busy in mid afternoon but the service was not long - about 15 minutes. No issues with the the adult meals but the mash in the child's (small) meal was quite hard. Desserts were varied but not everyone likes chocolate ice cream and sauce. More positives than negatives but good value when considering price.
