As title suggest I have eaten here a few times before but never reviewed so here it is in one go.... Have eaten here a good few times before not going list every meal I have had but always being average quality, nothing to excite the tastebuds but edible. Goujons are one of the best starters.. This time I went... More

We had stayed the night at the Premier Inn next door, and went to the Brewers Fayre for breakfast. During the short walk from the Premier Inn to the Brewers Fayre, the first impression was of a somewhat tired looking building. This was immediately reinforced when we entered; the whole décor, furnishings and lighting were dark and very dated. The... More

This place is straight out of the 70's. The menu is really basic and the food was not enjoyable. We stayed at the Premier Inn next door and had breakfast here. What a laugh! There is a sign telling you to wait to be seated but nobody comes near you. When we did sit down we were told we were... More

I've been coming here about once a month for a few years and always find it a great place to bring the family. The guys at the bar are friendly and welcoming the waitresses are helpful and pay the kids attention and the food is good value. This is the cheapest place to bring the family out to and there... Kids loved this restaurant with indoor play centre! Food was hot & tasty and service was good. Would recommend this place to families.

I don't usually write bad reviews, there is usually something nice to say about most things but this was truly awful. Waited a lifetime for food on a dirty sticky table and when it arrived the chips were cold, the onion rings cremated and cold, the whole meal looked like it had been sat out for a week unfortunately, cheap... The soft furnishings need urgent cleaning. Whilst eating one wonders if the kitchen is clean. We have been eating there for over ten years. The rear exterior looks a bit tired by the way. The food is good. Good luck to the cleaning decision.................C harries

This is a Brewers Fayre, so no fine dining, but still worth a visit, especially if you have kids, as the huge soft play area will keep them occupied for ages. It could do with a refurb and a good clean but, on the plus side, they do excellent value themed weekday evenings like Mexican, Italian, fish and chips, two... More

If we ever find ourselves travelling down M5 on our way home to Cornwall we like to stop off at Portishead, have a walk around the lovely marina, amble up and down the small town high street, then pop into this pub for lunch.......deals in the week are excellent and we have always had good service and food.......called at 2pm...
