The staff are good but that's where it ends. The garden isn't cleaned at night so in the morning when we went for breakfast we were faced with really grubby, stained chairs and carpets, we went outside to have coffee in the garden to be faced with cigarette butts strewn everywhere, napkins blowing around, sauce sachets thrown under tables -... This is where breakfast is served for the nearby Premier Inn - The full buffet selection is ideal to start the day. The bar has a good selection of local brews and a good wifi connection. I didn't have dinner there but it was very busy and they seem to have a wide range of offers. The staff were friendly,... More

Standard pub chain is no different to any other in this price bracket, the staff are helpful and friendly, children looked after with balloons and comics for entertainment we every fortnight never have any issues.

Only use this place so children can play in the soft play. The food is ok...buffet is usually the best bet! Bit dark and dreary, but reasonably priced for what you get!

Sadly the sirloin steak, although cooked medium rare as requested, was such an abysmal piece of meat, unrelaxed, dry with a very fibrous texture and no taste, and so bad that I asked for it to be replaced. I hoped that ribs would provide some succulence. How wrong can you be! They were drier than the Gobi Desert and I... More

The place: clean and well presented. Friendly staff. The locals? Well, on a quiet Sunday evening we were party to several loud conversations as locals expounded their views and exploits. Everything from opinions on their "baby mothas" to their most recent interactions with the police (drug squad). There was a few pauses in their boisterous talk - but only for... More

I love Premier Inns, one of the best things about them is the amazing staff: I have stayed in them hundreds of times and never found a grumpy member of staff. How can the same company always end up with miserable uninterested people serving in the pub next door? It was bad enough having to wait for ages while people... More

Wife and I had breakfast here after spending a night at the (very) nearby Premier Inn. Not overwhelmed by the food. Some was 'old' especially the sausages and bacon. Did not need any service from staff so cannot comment on them. Cost was reasonable at about £9 per person. It was convenient if nothing else

I stay away regularly with my job and the breakfast here is terrible, under cooked, full of grease and you feel pressured to get in and get out. They never have coffee cups to take away and generally the value for what you het is terrible, greasy spoon food for resteraunt prices. Every other one i stay in is much... More

Been on a couple of occasions now to this place. I do not go unless invited, then bite my lip. On every occasion poor food, drinks and service. Portion controlled microwave rubbish. Dire atmosphere, it's within easy walking distance for me, but will not use for these reasons, Really trading on the Premier Inn attachment.
