Refurbished but?

A favourite if you have either played a bit of golf on the course next door or if you like watching boats going up and down the Bristol Channel. Doesn't seem very different from before. Which means you still have stand in a line to order at the end of the bar where you also have to stand in line... read more

Recommended by a local. Fabulous views over the Bristol Channel. Really nice tasty food at a reasonable price. Staff friendly and accommodating. Despite the place being really busy the food was served quickly and was lovely fresh and hot. I will definitely be returning.

A spur of the moment visit for a Sunday afternoon roast dinner .....what a disappointment. .... Shrivelled carrots, tasteless stringy cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding the size of a plate tasted like cardboard! No beef all sold out. It would seem whoever prepared the dishes for serving really did not want to be there or they had a bad hangover!... More

Hi, thanks for letting us know about your visit, We had a facelift rather than a full refurbishment To freshen up the carpets, furniture etc. We do have the bottom bar open most lunchtimes and certain evenings where you are welcome to order your food and drinks and are trying to utilise the other order points when we are particularly... This is an excellent venue with gorgeous panoramic views across the severn estuary. The food is tasty ordinary pub fayre with good, friendly service. There is seating inside and outside as well as a decent sized car park. Will definitely be returning, possibly with family and friends in the future.

Certainly gone downhill badly since it was taken over which is a shame for a place with such a great view, all our 3 meals were very poor. \lasagna like watery soup, curry supposed to be chicken & veg although tasty contained 2 very small 1 cm cubes of chicken. The only good thing was their chips. sweets left a... More

The location of the pub can't be questioned with outstanding views up and down the Severn Estuary and across to Wales. The floor to ceiling rear window makes the most of the view with plenty of tables inside an out to cater for lots of people. However, I was very disappointed with the food. I visited at lunchtime and fancied... More

Hi, I am sorry you felt your sandwich was not up to standard, We have a fresh bread delivery daily and the ham is supplied by our butcher's, I will certainly feedback the points you raised to the suppliers. The curry is made in house but will certainly pass on your comments to our chefs. If you wish to discuss... More

An excellent Sunday lunch which my daughter, Georgina, kindly took my wife and I, along with her husband and two children, as a way of saying thank you as we were going to look after the children for the next week. A very helpful waitress looked after us extremely well and the place was fully booked. (they do 250covers !!)... More

We came here after being recommended this pub, my Brother was treating us to lunch and we were very pleased when we pulled up, the place looked lovely, the views were breath taking, it allowed dogs which is rare but , a bonus. I am not a big eater so my lunch came along with the other 2, I wondered... More

Hi, I am really sorry you feel your small meal was not up to standard. On Sundays we do have 2 sizes of roasts available, the smaller of which being an option for children or smaller appetites. We serve Chantenay carrots on our roasts but I apologise if yours were too small on this occasion. If you would like to... More

July 2015. We visited with my daughter, her husband & children aged 3 & 4. We found 1). The menu was on a sheet which was crumpled & well fingered 2). There was no children's menu, only lite bites at £6.95 3). The difference in a lite bite & full meal was about 4 pieces, of scampi, not much difference... More
