We had an excellent meal and Sonia the waitress was great. A very enjoyable experience and the view over the river was the final touch. I would recommend The Windmill to my friends

We arranged to meet friends at the Windmill Inn. It was their choice of venue. We were initially impressed by the building and the superb view over the estuary. Unfortunately, that was where the positive aspects finished. We waited around 45 minutes before our food order was taken and then waited an hour and five minutes before our food arrived.... More

We went for a family meal and had been told about the fantastic views from the upper restaurant. If you go, do try to get a window table. They have maximised the views with huge windows looking over the Bristol Channel to Wales. Quite spectacular on the day we went - brilliant sunshine over Portishead and a curious inversion half... Decided to visit the Windmill for lunch today and was not disappointed. Sat by the large window and watched the world go by whilst enjoying a lovely lunch. Excellent pub food (we went for scampi and aStilton ploughman's). The meal was prompt and served by polite and professional staff. We even met the head chef who was greeting customers in... More

I had made a group booking for 13 to celebrate my 40th birthday and was not disappointed. Despite some reviews the food, service and whole experience was excellent. Food arrived promptly, was plentiful and hot. Service was great and staff very helpful in serving us at the table, arranging the lift for my disabled father and generally being attentive. Nothing... Just go and see for yourself. They have a good selection of ales, lager and wine as you would expect from a pub this size despite it being a chain pub. I don't intend to critique everything about the windmill. It's value for money in the restaurant, has a great atmosphere and very attentive staff. The Windmill gets my vote... More

I visited the Windmill with my partner after being recommended by a friend. We arrived to a friendly greeting from the bar staff and to a fantastic choice of real ales, lagers and wines. We were promptly served although the bar was pretty busy, and took our drinks to a table overlooking the channel, a lovely outlook. We browsed the... More

Staff are really friendly and always happy to help. I really enjoyed my light bite fish and chips and it is really good value for money! Lovely beer garden and selection of ales :)

Visited with my wife and two children for lunch and a cheeky pint. The premises is located on a hill that overlooks the channel. The large windows allow for some lovely views and i can imagine that during the summer, the outside seating area is buzzing. Like most chain pubs these days, the price of a pint still shocks me...
