It was a Monday lunchtime when all 3 of us decided to have lunch here after a long walk. We have been here on several occasions for family/friends get together, as it is a lovely location and has fantastic views. There was a queue for the bar and a queue for ordering food. We all decided to order a sandwich... More

Visited the Windmill Inn two weeks ago on a lovely Friday evening with my wife, having not been for some time. Despite the change in ownership, the staff were very friendly and the views were as usual worth travelling for. After only 15 minutes or so, other guests departed so that we could move to window seats overlooking the estuary.... More

Very disappointed with the attitude and red tape. Tried to book a table for two with a view over the servern but was informed that they could not take same day bookings, i then explained it was my wedding anniversary and i was hoping to eat at a table with said view, to be fair the young lady i spoke... Hi Andy Thank you for your feedback with regards trying to book a table. Until recently there was not the option to book at all under previous ownership. We have now introduced the booking facility but have put some measures in place so it can be sensibly implemented into a extremely busy environment. As the weather has a huge effect... More

Visiting the Windmill for lunch with my daughters we selected the salads, listed as a main meal, NOT a side. The Greek salads consisted of half a bag of lettuce leaves, hard to find feta cheese, a few whole cherry tomatoes, and some very worn out olives. The Mozzarella and tomato salad consisted again of half a bag of salad... More

Staying nearby recently so went here for food. We were greeted by a staff member outside who informed us there were problems with the grill so all grill items were off. We opted to stay and have something not on the grill menu. Went for the curry and cheesecake (got there before 7pm so got the offer.) Both were lovely!!... More

Like this place and not disappointed Fulliers were taking over. I highly their pubs. But today fish and chips non light bite was most disappointing and was boarding the worst I have ever tried to eat. My 6 and 8 year olds had light bite and I had 'full'. Their portion was spot on, mine about 5mm thick, covered in... More

Having been disappointed on an earlier visit after the change of ownership, I am pleased to say that the criticisms by both myself and the other customers seems to be having an impact. I visited The Windmill on Thursday. My fish and chips and my wife's "lighter bite" lasagne were well proportioned and delicious. The desserts were also up to... More

Visited today and generally we enjoyed the visit. Nice atmosphere and lovely view from outside. However although the food was tasty, it was not really value for Money, nearly £20 for two very average type pub meals, and quite small portions. The lady in front ordered a light bite meal and when I saw it arrive it was about the... More
