We've been eating at Swadesh since it opened and always find the food top quality, fresh and extremely tasty. This is by far the best indian around. Try the hari mirch ka keema for spice and the dhal makhani for creamy black lentils. The king prawns in the karahi are my favourite dish at the moment. We eat there a few... More

From the moment we arrived the service was poor, with our pre-booked table not being ready and no taking of any drinks order etc. At the table there was another long wait until a waiter took our drinks order after being prompted by the manager. The starters were fine but again there was a very long wait for the main... More

We booked for 30 diners for a work event and all 30 of us agreed that the food was absolutely stunning. We had a separate room upstairs which hopefully meant we didn't disturb other diners. Venue and food could only be surpassed by the staff, who were extremely attentive and friendly. This is a massive thumbs up from 30 very... More

I love lamb but am nervous of ordering it in a curry in case it is tough. This lamb rogan josh was cooked perfectly. The lamb was melt in the mouth tender. And the curry described as medium was my kind of medium which leaves a pleasant tingle in the mouth and full of flavour.

We ate here as a couple in October 2015. We researched restaurants on TA and this curry house seemed to fit the bill. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had poppadums and dips to start which was standard fair. For main I had Palak Gosht which was a lamb and spinach curry. The lamb was outstanding, melt in the... More

The Indian food here isn't your average Indian food menu. Quite a different menu, great service very attentive but lacks in quality of food and taste of food with big prices!

This is only the third time I have published a review on Trip Advisor. I am doing so now in order to share with you an unknown jewel right under our noses in the centre of Wilmslow. A group of four us went to Swadesh for the first time on Friday. We arrived shortly before 6.30pm and took advantage of... More

Absolutely love the food here, the lamb in particular is always unbelievable. It is a little bit more expensive but that is reflected in the taste of the food so not too much of an issue. Have been put off recently though after discovering they have a Foods Standard Agency rating of 0!!! As much as I love the food,... More
