Visited the pub for lunch mid week. Pretty good lunch menu and varied main menu. the staff were all pleasant and attentive which to me is so important. Food arrived quickly, nicely presented and hot. My only disappointment was unless I'm mistaken (apologies if i am),everything had obviously come out of a freezer bag and was not cooked from scratch.... More

My partner and I called in here for lunch, on 14th January 2015. I hadn't booked, it was a spur of the moment thing. It was pretty quiet when we entered, Wednesday about 12:20,but soon had our drinks and chose ourselves a table. A member of staff soon turned up with the menu and left us alone to make our... More

An acquaintance recommended the Bull's Head and we weren't disappointed. As you pull up in the car park and glance at the imposing building, you cannot fail to be impressed. Though there must be six or seven rooms, it is all open plan, so is not the cosiest of pubs. The main bar area is somewhat cavernous with only seating... More

Called at the bulls head for lunch on Saturday with my husband. Staff very friendly as usual. We sat near the lovely open fire. My husband had mixed grill which he said was gorgeous - he paid extra for a small jug of the bourbon glaze which was very tasty (wish I'd ordered one too!). I had the gourmet burger... More

We had lunch here recently and it was better than expected. The quality of the food and the experience was good overall. One of the better traditional pubs to dine at in the Handforth area.

Excellent service, welcoming to families and very nice and reasonably priced food. The sort of place I would take them again.

For us it's always a last minute decision to eat out, so we decided to nip to the Bull Head as it's just down the road. With any chain pub/restaurant it can be hit and miss. So expectations are not always high. We have eaten here a couple of times in the last three years and had Christmas lunch here... More

this bar was very busy when we arrived on a sunday evening. unfortunately they had already run out of several dishes from their sunday menu so was quite disappointed not to get roast turkey. this is a bar but the seated area for food has table service. I had the roast pork which was nice enough but nothing special.
