We visited last night (13th September 2014) for my Mum's 50th Birthday Meal and what a fabulous evening we had. I've been a couple of times but last nights visit was the best. There were 6 of us and everyone thought the food was brilliant. I had the Beef and Merlot pie and it was delicious. Our server , Bonnie... More

We went on a Wednesday which is pie night. I had the four cheese pie which was lovely, and a friend had the chicken pie...this looked huge! She seemed yo enjoy it! A nice pub to meet friends in, it has a lovely outside setting , particularly at night when they turn the lights on!

I visited here before and thought the place OK though not out standing. Good lunch time menu selection. Skipped the starter and had the leek, mushroom and cashew nut roll with a side serve of cauliflower cheese which proved unnecessary as the meal came with an ample serve of vegetables and potatoes. Most enjoyable. For sweet I had the Pimm's Eton... More

All I can say is the chefs should be ashamed of themselves I ordered roast chicken it was obviously deep fried not roasted it was very pale I could barely cut it it was so hard the roast potatoes were just as bad, I was so tired from traveling up from Bristol I couldn't be bothered to complain all I... We were staying at the Premier Inn at Manchester Airport the night before we flew out to Greece and their restaurant was fully booked. One of the hotel staff suggested a couple of local pubs we could try and we decide upon the Honey Bee. The car park is a decent size and we had no trouble parking. We walked... More

We were staying overnight at The Holiday Inn before going to Manchester Airport the next morning and decided to leave the hotel and instead come to the Honey Bee for some good evening pub grub - and that is what we got. This place has beautiful surroundings, and as the weather was nice (for once) this permitted us to enjoy... More

We had a rendezvous here, close to Manchester airport, easy to find. Nice food but the service was a bit tired and miserable. I actually caught our waiter pulling a face as we dithered about whether to eat in or out. In the end we carried our own food out and spared him the effort. There's room outside to relax... More

My husband and I recently visited the Honey Bee for lunch with our 18 months old toddler. I loved the décor and wished we could have stayed outside but unfortunately the weather didn't allow for that to happen. The service was very friendly but a bit slow. Once the food arrived it was lovely and we couldn't fault it. We... More

We only choose this as it was close to manchester airport for picking our daughter up, very disappointed it both the food and the decor, felt more like a hungry horse and food didn't do any better, best advice is carry on driving and spend your money somewhere else

I am so sorry that I imposed my family on the staff of the Honey Bee. Slow, miserable and so keen to say NO! They seemed happiest as we left when we had the full range of... 'enjoy the rest of your day' ' take care now's'. My day would have been so much better if we had gone elsewhere.... More
