Good alternative to Premier Inn but don't be in a rush!

Like a previous reviewer we ate here when we were staying at Manchester Airport Premier Inn. It was the hottest day of the year so we ate in the garden which was a delight - lots of comfortable chairs and tables with parasols. It took quite a while for our food to arrive but we weren't in a hurry... read more

I've been here a number of times and always enjoyed it, however my most recent visit was on a very hot evening and it was like an oven in the restaurant (even sat by a window with it fully open) they could do with investing in air conditioning and if they already have it they could do with a better... Dropped in here for lunch as it is a regular venue for a late lunch / early dinner and is usually a safe bet. I understand it was a Friday lunchtime but it can't be said it was packed by any stretch of the imagination but having to wait for half an hour for the food is not particularly good.... More

My first visit to the Honey Bee in a few years and it's better than ever. It was quite busy on Friday lunchtime but our food came quickly and the staff were very efficient and friendly. I had the cod fish finger sandwich with chips - nice fish, very tasty bread and good chips. Dessert was a delightful americano, strong... More

I was meeting a friend for lunch and unbeknown to us, our usual haunt was being refurbished, so this was a last minute find. It was busy (Thursday lunch time) and there was a private funeral party in a room at the end. Parking was a bit of a problem but we did squeeze our cars in and found a... More

We were directed here from nearby accommodation and it was perfect. We enjoyed good food and real ales on a pleasant English summer evening, watching the bunnies hop around the hedgerows. Even better, we were served by genuinely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The menu was wide and my 'lamb two ways' hit the spot perfectly; I certainly encountered some food... More

Ate here one lunch time last week and was pleasantly surprised. A Problem with the till didn't spoil the experience and the food was lovely. A tad expensive - but it is Wilmslow!

Was staying at The Premier Inn prior to flying the following morning and did not fancy the usual Burger type menu. Found this place a couple miles along the road and was pleased with the choice. A much wider choice of Menu and the food was good. Will certainly use again when staying at The Pemier Inn.

Myself the wife and are daughter along with extended family have been here a few times and I would have to say the actual place is very nice and pleasant with a good atmosphere and the staff are very helpful to ( sometimes)...... But as for the food this is where it falls down the food is sometimes overcooked and... More

There was groups of 10 of us plus 2 babies on bank holiday Monday. We booked in advance. The food was nice pub grub, nothing out out this world but tasty and filling. There was a children's menu for the little ones plus colouring in stuff which was good. The bill came to £50 per couple for a drink 2... More
