Last year 15/09/13 we held our wedding ceremony and reception at here it was fantastic. So this year being our first anniversary I contacted the hotel and booked a table to celebrate. We arrived at the hotel early evening of 13/09/14 and was greeted by warm and welcoming staff. Eamon as always was genuinely pleased to see us and took... More

We havent been to Stanneylands for many years so decided it was high time we ate here again. We were not disappointed. For a special occasion this is a wonderful place to eat. The staff were very attentive the food was superb and the whole family enjoyed a very relaxed yet quality birthday lunch. Sophisticated without being stuffy we will... More

Was visiting the place for a business meeting. Located in a very picturesque land surrounded with woods, the hotel/restaurant is well hidden from traffic and that makes it a good place for a small retreat or quiet meeting. Prices are high of course with a little Diet Coke for £2.2 or coffee for £5 but four stars and glorified restaurant... More

for a special occassion it cant be beat. the food is outstanding and of course the service is of a very high stand. They do a set menu for lunch and dinner which is very reasonable and wont break the bank and still up to their usual high stand or really push the boat out and go A la Carte

What a hidden gem of a restaurant! Fantastic quality food at very reasonable prices served in the most wonderful dining room by a brilliant staff team. I am a very fussy eater & even I struggled to decide which meal to have which makes a change as usually I am struggling to find something I would like to eat when... More

Booked here for Sunday lunch, to celebrate a special occasion. I requested the window table which they said could not be guaranteed. However when we arrived I was delighted to see that my wish had been granted. We all spent a wonderful 3 hours here, firstly with drinks in the lounge bar then in the beautiful panelled dining room. Used... More

Had breakfast, 3 courses and lunch here and whilst some of it was very nice we were a little underwhelmed. Service was a tad slow too, the place was a bit dated Maybe its my fault for expecting a little more after seeing it had won awards, because it was pretty decent grub, but its not as good as my... We decided to take advantage of the Stanneylands offer of a night in the hotel, then a taxi to the airport, while our car stayed in the hotel carpark for the duration of our holiday, then a taxi back to collect our car. As usual, Eamon (the manager) was the ultimate host, meeting us like good friends as we entered... More

Myself and partner went to the stanneylands hotel restaurant last friday night after purchasing a voucher for their five course tasting menu with a free glass of prosecco. The meal started with apple soup which was absolutely delicious although a very small portion served with a selection of tasty breads. The starter was fishcake for myself and my partner had... More
