Excellent!

Enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening with friends at the Stargazing event. Had probably the best pie I've ever eaten...delicious home made herby pastry and filled with big chunks of chicken & ham hock in a gorgeous creamy sauce. Beautifully presented & piping hot. Booked a table for two in the sunshine on 21/04/15 . This was my first time at this lovely café . We ordered a Tuna Nicoise Salad and a Prawn and Crayfish Salad both were absolutely delicious . No complaints re quantity either ! The staff were helpful and friendly so we will certainly return perhaps on one of their... More

This is a great find. We have been for lunch a couple of times and enjoyed it every time so we thought we'd go as a last minute Mother's Day dinner treat. We were a bit worried as we hadn't booked and quite expected to be turned away (which would have been reasonable under the circumstances) but despite being busy... More

This place makes a most pleasant change from the usual run-of-the-mill high street offering, it's great to have the option of being outside when the weather is good, sitting by the lake feeling well away from it all.

Quick service, fresh food and great location. We will definitely go back for one of the music nights or themed... More

Lovely food, lively setting...will most definitely return. A good mix with large portions and friendly service. Late pack down on the campsite with lunch before hitting the road. Would definitely recommend

We camped overnight here to watch the live music and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast overlooking one of the ponds. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived to put up the tent, the evening watching music in the cafe was most enjoyable and it was super sitting overlooking the lake for breakfast the next day. Overall... More
