Description: Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham...
Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.

Spring Menu best value fine dining in the history of my tummy

If you have been before, go again. We had the four course Spring Menu last night. The lamb/kid/goat option has been a favourite before, has now progressed into sublime. Every dish was a work of art, every mouthful a delight. Wonderful. I have now had both lunch and the tasting menu and both were a real pleasure.

Service and surroundings were superb. The meal was rather exciting with a host of flavours. This is not a venue for the really hungry, as, although there was plenty of artisan breads between courses, the emphasis is on flavour rather than quantity. The bill was as expected.

I booked the restaurant as a special occasion for our Son's 18th birthday. We chose the tasting menu with accompanying wine. When we arrived there were two other seated tables and it seemed relatively quiet for a Friday evening. The starters came along fairly quickly and were very pleasant as was the amuse bouche. Unfortunately things then went downhill very... More

This is a gem of a little restaurant on the high street in Horsham. Amuse-bouches tasters and amazing cuisine from starter to finish and that rhubarb soufflé !! Excellent wines and tasty home made bread. Warmly recommended ! And such good value for money.

I took my husband here to celebrate his 50th and wanted it to be special, so chose here in preference to anywhere in London and we decided upon the tasting menu. We arrived promptly for our 6.30 booking and were told the table wasn't ready, so we waited patiently with a drink. On ordering our tasting menu and wine flight... More

As I regularly go out for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my wife, we decided to give this restaurant try. I ordered the salmon and scrambled eggs, and my wife ordered the eggs royale. When the food arrived, it looked great and classy. The presentation was excellent. No wonder this restaurant is Michelin-starred. My wife had ordered her eggs... More

second visit, today this time with my sister who enjoys high dining in the city. We came together by bus as the wine list is excellent and we wanted to do it justice. We had the 3 course lunch menu which is tremendous value, won't go into detail as its on the internet but you have to experience it first... More

Visited Tristan's for the second time today for mine and my boyfriend's first anniversary. We had the 3 course lunch menu for £25 (£30 for four courses). Neither of us are drinkers so the meal would have been more with wine, but we thought this was extremely good value. We were greeted by incredibly friendly service, and we could not... More
