Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.

Best food in Horsham!

Booked a surprise impromptu visit on a lovely summery evening. Service was fantastic and the food to die for. It is expensive but the experience did totally worth it!

Lovely venue, real character to it. Surprised me to see just how small the kitchen was when we walked by, not quite sure how they manage, but they do. Great food, but like a food extravaganza. It's certainly not cheap, and I thought there was too many menu options, after having the menus explained we were then told we could... More

We visited by chance, thanks to a cancelled booking, and we we were very pleased with the results. The menu was a choice of coarses, lots or a few we went for the middle one, it all was excellent from start to finish. We will be going again.

We visited for my sisters 40th birthday. We weren't disappointed. We had the 4 course tasting menu and it was delicious. Just watch out for the VAT, it's not quoted on the menu.

We went to Tristan's for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't have been more delighted with the excellent food and the great service. The food is beautifully cooked and presented and the menu offers lots of unusual combinations which makes eating there a true "foodie" experience. The service was brilliant and the staff were friendly and... More

I've lost count of whether this is the fifth or sixth visit to eat Tristan's food this year. There is always something new to try. This time it was the duck tartar. Even the "regulars" on the menu, like the lamb/kid/goat, change eniough to prevent you from getting bored. As ever, the staff are friendly and helpful. They are seriously... More

Great venue - staff friendly & knowledgable about both the food and wine. Ideal for any occasion and not pompous or intimidating like many restaurants of this standard.

I cannot wait to go back to Tristan! The food and service were incredible. All staff were absolutely lovely and although it was a fine dining restaurant the atmosphere was very relaxed. This is the first time I've eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant and both myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of the six courses.... More
