Food is as expected, at this kind of venue, usually served quite fast and adequate for average meal at anytime. Shame that management of this venue let it down, or one of them does, as mentioned in earlier review by lady reviewer - the man that runs other staff down and seems to think he is more important than others,... Good value for money, food cooked well and good service. Visit here often for lunch at weekends. They have meal deals including a drink for less than £5. You can't go wrong.

I have come to expect a reasonable standard from Wetherspoons pubs, and this one is no exception. Beer choice and prices are pretty good, the food menu is extensive (which can lead to lack of availabitily of some items, due to low stocking levels) and reasonably priced. In my recent experience (3 visits in the past month), the staff have... More

Good steak on Tuesday. Food was freshly cooked and I was happy with the value for money. The restaurant was very busy but not uncomfortable. A friend in a wheelchair had plenty of room, but be aware, there was no toilet on the ground floor and I didn't see a lift. You can't beat a good steak lunch and glass... More

As in most wetherspoons the food is reheated out of packets, the tables are not as clean as they should be and standard operating procedures seem to be being broken on a day to day basis, especially since new managers have taken over recently. Including one of them very unprofessionally talking about other staff in the bar in front of... More

Tuesday steak and drink offer day £7.35. Had chicken and rib combo which wasnt too long in arriving, looked and tasted good. This is a pub which suffers from smokers corner occupying the front doorway as it has no garden, and a very regular contingent of 'locals' ensconsed at the front of the pub. The eating area is fairly large... More

That what they are, cattle farms get you in cheap beer and rubbish food than get you out. If Wetherspoon's are the future than all good pubs are doomed.

Good value meal (free pint!); served quickly by cheery staff. Interesting surroundings, lots of history in pictures on wall.

Fantastic value for money. My boys love the cheesy pasta which at £3.99 with a drink and fruit bag is I feel good value for money. I had a lovely steak with a drink included and my parents enjoyed the fish and chips deal again with a drink. I couldn't fault it for what we paid. The staff were friendly... More

I have to say that although the food was decent quality, having to eat it with my fingers was not. They also delivered the wrong steak.
