Please do not confuse Shapla reviews with Bay Horse. Shapla has taken over and is far far better. My son and I have eaten there several times . The place is clean and the staff smart and friendly. The food is great, but beware the portions are great too so dont over order if you dont like leaving food. We have... More

Simply was charged for all the waitresses mistakes and ended up paying way over what we thought , 3 courses for 9.95 for 2 people suddenly turned into 38 pound as she gave us the wrong menu telling us it was the special menu Very disapointing , should have been rectified straight away emailed the owner before writing on here... Was invited here by a friend, this had been the old Bay Horse pub, that had been closed for some time. On entering the bar/ restaurant, was greeted by some very pleasant staff. To the right is a medium sized bar, well fitted out and pleasing to the eye with some seating. Not sure if you can go in there... More

Visited here with friends after a recommendation following their recent 'make over'. What was a traditional pub has now diversified and offers both a well stocked bar / seating area (which had a superb real ale on when we visited) plus a new Indian restaurant. We were greeted by friendly staff from the restaurant and offered the chance to peruse... More

First visit to this refurbished establishment but will not be my last. Friendly service and excellent food at reasonable prices. Generous portions, very comfortable and a good atmosphere. Lovely seating area prior to meal with a great husband and wife team behind the bar.

I can highly recommend the carvery which we had today. The vast choice of fresh veg plus mash new potatoes and roast potatoes. The roast meats were succulent with lovely stuffing and battered onion rings and homemade Yorkshire Puds. You can go back for second helpings if you wish. Excellent value at £7-75. Plus the owners and staff are very friendly.

We'r local and would love to see this pub do well! The food is really good but the service is terrible! This latest visit there were only 6 other people in the restaurant, 2 of which had already eaten. We waited over half an hr at our table before we were asked for our order, no apology! God knows how... More
