Carvery

I've been here on several occasions now and it just gets better I've read some reviews and either I'm easily pleased or the authors of said reviews are deluded I agree the food can seem overpriced but you expect to pay well for well cooked food simple as we had carvery on Sunday 3rd Jan 2016 and... read more

We visited the Brewers after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. After a long wait at the bar, we were served expensives drinks by a surly barman who pointed us over to a dirty table. The menu promised much but the food was very disappointing - poor quality pub grub at best. The waiting staff seemed uninterested and couldn't answer basic... More

We had a family meal, for my wife's 65th birthday. We have been before, but the standard of content and presentation was noticeably better. The friendly service is still in evidence. I chose something different to last time, when I had excellent fish and chips. I had the Steak and Ale Pie. Families and babies are welcomed here. When we... More

I have written a review already for this place but its on another listing and I feel its only fair to post here also.Came here on a Tuesday night with another couple for a meal and straight away was surprised how busy the place was. Food was top notch, better than what you would expect from a pub. My cod... More

Have used the hotel at this pub, previously, and based on that experience, returned for a meal with friends. Service just as friendly as before and food even better than on our yst visit. Pleasantly surprised that such a great pub is available on the route to the east coast - and definitely worth a stop off.

Visited on Friday 2nd of October for father in laws birthday. Firstly they definitely need more waiting staff, secondly the staff need training. They were friendly but some key basic expectations were not met which ruined the meal/experience. Not just for us - the couple next to us walked out, a large group got fed up of waiting and went... we had our wedding reception here a few years ago and decided to take a trip down memory lane! What an utter disappointment. The bar staff were rude and disinterested in giving any service never mind good service. The beer was overpriced and the menu pretentious! The decor was dated and dirty having been lured in by the pretty flowers... More

This is a decent-looking pub linked to the local brewery, in Snaith though listed as Goole. The lounge is partly a memorial to the men and women of RAF Snaith and 51 and 151 sdns RAF, with interesting photos and mementos. Outside there is a large grassy play area, but the apparatus is only suitable for kids 5+. They seem... More

Average pub fare - nothing special at all Found it to be expensive for a pub with mediocre food Good selection of beers Much better options to be found in the area
