Evening with friends

A wee bit to travel to this restraunt but we all wanted to give it a try. Large seating area as you go in and can look at the menu and have a drink. The dining are very nice. We went on Wednesday evening where there is a sort of set menu. Ladies didn't want starters and the men shared... read more

We had coffee and homemade scones, excellent , good service and really nice surroundings. The deli had really nice different things so we brought home sausage rolls , chicken and stuffing pie and individual Lemmon cheesecake all of which were delicious . Lots having afternoon tea which we will definatley return to try

Went for afternoon lunch and was able to sit in the sunshine. I had a burger, which was delicious and my son had the mushroom soup. Will definitely be going back!

Just visited for the first time, lovely setting and well spaced out bright dining room and good selection of deli items and cakes. There are also tables outside in the private garden overlooking fields of corn - very relaxing place. We've only had morning coffee and brunch so far but this was thoroughly enjoyable and having looked at the various... More

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely Friday lunch at the peppered pig this week. We had frittata, burger & chips and a ham sandwich which was all beautifully made. The restaurant itself is light, comfortable and clean and the staff are really friendly. As it was such a beautiful hot day we sat outside afterwards and enjoyed a drink... More

Beautiful building, with great oak beams and floor to ceiling windows overlooking farmland. Went for lunch and I had Fish Finger sandwich!!! which was goujons of fish dressed with salad and homemade tartare sauce, all inside toasted artisan bread. FAB, 2 of my friends had beef, which they said melted in their mouths. The only problem was, a very long... More

Visited the restaurant in the evening 4 times now, and we haven't been disappointed once. The food is well presented and delicious, the staff are all very courteous and attentive. The decor and surroundings all contribute to a lovely atmosphere and a very pleasant evening with friends, something we find very difficult to find I this area. A little gem,... More

Came here on my birthday for afternoon tea. The venue is lovely, the atmosphere of the place is welcoming, and the presentation of the food is beautiful. I was underwhelmed by the food though. The scones appeared to have been made in a large tray and then cut out after they had been cooked. I also would have expected more... More

The atmosphere is nice, entry is through a delicatessen with some tempting morsels on offer. The Saturday lunch menu seemed interesting, but we made the mistake of ordering the slow cooked pork belly, a dish we all usually enjoy. It was very slow to arrive [surely not cooked to order] and when it did arrive we immediately commented on the... More
