Visited this old charm country inn on a number of occassions both as a party and as a couple. Great welcoming atmosphere with good old English service. Food freshly cooked and never dissapoints. Well worth a visit, a little off the beaten track but will not dissapoint.

We visited recently with a couple of friends and were blown away by the whole experience. We had a lovely greeting, superb food including home made chips. A fantastic meal rounded off by a pot of tea in a beautiful Royal Albert pot. Amazing value for money. Can't wait to go back.

The food was excelent and cooked to order with a good variety of "proper" pub food and reasonable prices. My husband had steak pie, chips and peas, a huge steaming hot plateful,I tried the special of chilli pork belly with rice(not... Once again a superb Sunday lunch! Over the last few months this place has become a regular haunt for me. So many places offer a "traditional Sunday lunch", but few can compare both in the quality and quantity on offer, and the friendliness of the staff. Our waiter 'Josh' was both attentive and entertaining (Sadly lacking in many high end... More

We booked a table for 4 for on a Saturday at 8pm, we arrived at around 7.50, we were stood at the bar for about 5 mins before being shown to our table and told someone would come and take our drinks order. After being sat there for 15 mins I went and asked if someone would be taking our... More

We reserved a table for a Saturday night, when we arrived we noticed it was a country and western evening with disco and karaoke. I ordered the chicken tagliatelle followed by a homemade strawberry gateau which was superb. We really enjoyed the music and even joined in with the karaoke! Great atmosphere, we had a great night out, and will... More

Went here to catch up with some old friends and have an evening meal. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I had sirloin steak cooked to perfection, with salad & home cooked chips, followed by lemon cheesecake; £9.95 deal. All of the food was very good and I have no hesitation in recommending or going back. The drinks... More
