Lunchtime catchup with a friend was splendidly augmented by some fantastic food with a great atmosphere. A really pretty pub with stylish decor. Very warm welcome from the staff. Great selection of food-we both had wraps with fries which were excellent! Definitely a return visit in the future

Visited with a large party for Sunday lunch as part of an 18th Birthday Celebration. Food was excellent and the service exceptional. We all sat in the conservatory with the doors open which was lovely on this warm and sunny afternoon. So often is the case these days where Sunday lunch is frozen food and nowhere near as good as... Visited for Sunday lunch to celebrate my nieces 18th birthday. Our party consisted of 17 plus a baby. Everyone from our baby to a 90 year old aunt were made to feel extremely welcome by all the friendly staff. Often when part of such a large group service can be slow but we experienced none of this in fact everything... More

Visited last Sunday with a party of 17 for my daughters 18th birthday. We all had Sunday lunch and the food was quite simply perfect as was the service. I had Salmon and Goats cheese flan for starters which was delicious and the portion size more than enough. I then ate some of the best roast beef and Yorkshire puddings... More

Met here to meet up with family and enjoy a meal together. Weather was hot but inside was pleasant. Three of our party was late but this was no problem to the staff. The starters were well presented and tasty. The mains were served quickly and together. The meat and potato pie is well recommended with pastry top and bottom... More

Dear customer, firstly we are not under new management I have now been here 4 years and intend to be here for some time to come. Secondly you don't mention what you ate or when you visited so I have to assume it was last week, we did over 800 covers last week I think that speaks for itself that... More

We stopped here enroute to York. We walked through a lovely sitting out area, ideal for a sunny afternoon and evening, in to a really airy, pleasant pub. We sat in the conservatory area. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The food was freshly cooked and there was plenty of it. Our party had the lasagne, and the Airmyn... More

Decided to return here for an alfresco lunch in the lovely beer garden and found the pub has a new menu with less choice but offers better value. Service was pleasant and we were soon sat in the sun enjoying a decent pint of real ale. Club sandwich was as good as any with generous portions. Will definitely return. Recommended.
