Belgian Style and Beers Galore

We visited with friends for Brunch. It is served on Sundays and the only day that they open before Lunch I believe. They close at 3pm on Sundays. They are also closed on Mondays and until 4pm on Tuesdays. There's parking nearby. We asked for an inside table. There's a sizeable Beer Garden and... read more

Tucked away in a small alley in the little town of Occoquan , VA is a terrific restaurant that serves great mussels and beer. No need to travel to Belgium, you can enjoy a terrific meal here in their quaint two story restaurant on on the outside shaded patio. We have been here befor while traveling south from NY. Mussels... I had a perfect lunch today at Cock and Bowl! Blackened Salmon Sandwich. It was perfectly done. I also loved the atmosphere - outside on a beautiful afternoon. Don't miss this place. Great service, food, and atmosphere. Excellent!

If it's a nice evening - nothing beats mussels and beer on their patio! They have a delicious array of mussels - from the standard white wine/garlic sauce to the Buffalo mussels - all superb!! Of course, if you come - come for the beer as well - the beer menu is longer than the dinner menu - awesome!! They... More

Love this place, great food, nice location, cool staff! The beer list is really long and diverse! I always get something different. And the last time I was there they allowed dogs so I assume they still do.

This is the second time that I've had Sunday brunch at Cock and Bowl. It is a super cute restaurant that is tucked away in Occoquan. The wait staff is really friendly there. I had the Croque Madame with frites. It was awesome. The coffee is also pretty good. My friends had the Virginie which was a croissant with grits,... More

Have been to Cock and Bowl before. Excited to make the trip from Leesburg to go to this restaurant again. What a disappointment. Waited over 45 minutes. No problem. Ordered a glass of Malbec,,, Wine was not just a little warm it was very warm. Ok let it go. The big sin I put a little ice in it to... More

Had a quick lunch in here with girl friends as we were shopping in the town. The food took ages to get to us and was cold when we got it. The onion soup was fair with one bit of bread and not enough cheese. The fries could have been good but were also cold. They did give us pudding... More

his review is for someone who is traveling thru town or even better, someone from the area that loves locally sourced food as well as.. beer. OMG, beers from Belgium, beers from California that are crafted like beers from Belgium, Stouts, IPAs, you name it and they most likely have it at Cock and Bowl. Walking into this place, think... My boyfriend and I gave this place 2 attempts to succeed. The first time absolutely terrible. We went for brunch and the service was basically invisible. At one point there were 3 other tables aside from myself and I had to actually go into the kitchen to find someone (the whole staff was outback smoking) our food had been served... More
