Good sea food

Good sea food. Waiting staff are mixed, younger staff are a bit vague but the main staff are good and welcoming with good knowledge of food.

The Oyster and Otter is a lovely place to go for Sunday Lunch. We have been a number of times and I've never been disappointed. The roast beef is amongst the best I've ever had. The staff are very friendly and there is a regular change of specials to keep things interesting. Parking is always quite easy and you can... More

We booked a family meal to celebrate my sons confirmation and holy 1st communion. We pre booked the table for 15 and pre ordered from a reduced menu.. Due to the cost most had soup (which was lovely) or salmon. Unfortunately this was tasteless and served with crusty brown bread. Again due the cost most of party ordered haddock and... More

Great food and excellent service especially with our little girl made her feel specially. Made her a mini version of our pudding and a special hot choc with mini marshmallows couldnt ask for better service.

This fantastic restaurant has been on my doorstep for about 3 years. We had a fantastic evening there last night. Service was great, it was quiet when we arrived (6.30)but was packed by the time we left at 8pm. It is advertised as a fish restaurant but had lots of other choices on the menu. We all opted for fish... More

After going to one of the other pubs in the chain, The Farmers Arms, I was expecting great things....unfortunately these expectations were not met. I ordered the Pitta bread with houmous and guacamole. The pitta was burnt in places and I had to limit myself to a dip of each, not a scoop, plus the fact the guacamole wasn't home... More

We've eaten here on a regular basis ever since it opened & over the last few months we feel it went off the boil due to front of house (the food has remained excellent throughout in our experience). However, we've never lost hope & last night we were rewarded for our persistence. The new manager Matt was a breath of... More

We are regular visitors to the Oyster, and whilst the food has always been good, we thought over recent months it had lost it's way a little. We went for a meal on Good Friday, and it was delight from start to finish. We were greeted politely, and taken to our table. The food was top notch, but the whole... More

We visited the Oyster and Otter in summer for our end of term staff meal. The food was delightful ~ we chose from a set menu which encompassed a vast array of meals to suit everyone's preference. All three courses were brilliantly executed and the service was good to say we had such a large party. I do however agree... More
