Went for lunch today with three friends. First off, service in terms of friendliness and helpfulness was faultless . We asked to move to an outside table and nothing was too much trouble . I really wanted a salad or similar but unfortunately the only veggie salad had blue cheese on ( honestly I'm not a fussy veggie , there... More

This pub has great ambience and a lovely rural setting. This is gourmet style pub food and the prices reflect this. On the whole the food was good quality but the whole experience was let down by: 1) too long a wait before anyone came to take the order - a good 10 minutes but there were several staff chatting... I have been coming here since it opened. My visits have been numerous despite living over 15 miles away. My last visit was my daughters birthday party in April. As usual it was excellent. I visited today, as a guest of a friend who was paying, on my recommendation. What has happened? The menu has changed....for the worse. More burgers,... More

We have been and are regulars at the Clog but there are issues that need addressing. Went for a Sunday roast a few weeks ago and had the lamb which was quite good but having to ask for mint sauce then to be told ,sorry we haven't got any left!! Bit of initiative would have been nip to Somerfield down... More

Was looking forward to a lovely meal with my partner as we had heard good reviews from friends. We were shown to our seats and we ordered two pints of soft drinks and was given a menu. We were sat for quite awhile before the waitress came back to ask if bottles were ok as they didnt do coke on... More

It all started so well, lovely drinks nice setting. We ordered food then within 5 minutes 2 meals were brought to our table which had 7 sat around.. Wrong table. Two of us ordered chips with our cheese and onion pie and surprise surprise two jacket potatoes arrived. When we did get the chips the watercress and beetroot was absent... More

The place is in a lovely location, and it has a lovely airy 'barn style' feeling. Not too pompous, just a lovely country feel...could... More
