My wife and I first visited the C&B shortly after it first opened and were really impressed with the food, service and surroundings. We visited many times thereafter, sometimes with our daughters and they enjoyed it as well. However, our visits during the last 6 months have been far from ideal, but we stuck with it believing it would be... More

Despite great food, we were disappointed with the service on this occasion. Despite being relatively quiet in the pub, we had to wait almost an hour for our food to arrive. No apologies were made for the delay. We also had to ask the waitress for a 2nd drink. This made a usually great place, very disappointing.

We have visited the Clog on numerous occasions and the food and service are of a consistent high standard. The menu is good but could do with more changes to it on the rare occasion when they do change it. If you visit frequently as we do more variation would be good.

My family love this pub, food is always consistent and very tasty (but not cheap). Service is professional without being stuck up and décor is locally themed. Only thing letting it down is if you sit in the annex with the fire you end up smelling like you've been near a bonfire. Maybe a chimney issue? I go for the... More

My wife and I were looking for a venue for an informal gathering of family and friends to celebrate our birthdays. We wanted a convivial atmosphere, good food and good service. We weren't disappointed. The friendly and efficient staff couldn't do enough for us. Everything was organised perfectly, the service timings were spot on and the food was divine. The... More
