A Tad Expensive and Over Hyped!

We called into the ‘C&BC’ on a Sunday afternoon in March, as a party of three, without having booked a place. It was around 2:50pm and there were several tables empty, and they accommodated our request, provided we vacated by 4:30pm, as the table had been booked for then. We ordered two... read more

The Clog has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we had an enjoyable family meal to celebrate the birthdays of my son and myself at the end of March. We have eaten here and at other Ribble Valley Inn establishments on a number of occasions and the food is always good quality. Everyone had something different and enjoyed their fare, the... More

This restaurant is set in a beautifull location but unfortunately the food isn't that good and is also expensive , I had the lancashire hot pot priced at £12'50 ,served with a small dish of red cabbage the food was far to salty.drink prices where exceptionally high for a pub restaurant ,. It took the waitress 20 min to come... More

Enjoy the views sitting on the patio or round a roaring fire it's always wonderful here. Friendly staff to humans and dogs and exquisite food and decent ale. What more could you want.

Visited the restaurant with friends for Sunday lunch. We had the set menu, starter and main. Large portions, cooked to perfection, we were stuffed! Service good, waiting staff very cheerful and efficient. I felt the drinks were overpriced, but on the whole we enjoyed our lunch in a well run, busy establishment with a good atmosphere. If we lived nearer... More

We have been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions but decided to pop in for the set sunday dinner menu. We were not disappointed. The roast beef dinner was lovely. The Yorkshire pudding was very large (mis shaped ) as they should be if made from scratch. We will definitely go again.

Living locally we have heard mixed reviews about this place but never actually been until recently. Can't say we will be rushing to go back. Service isn't just slow, it's slow to the point of distraction. Plus, when I complained there was no hint of an apology (40 minutes to order a drink!) Wine was adequate but overpriced. Food was... This restaurant/ pub is local to us and we go as a treat sometimes, as a little pricey! The food is always spot on - the burger is more than just a burger and the fish and chips is very tasty. The kids menu is great and our two young boys just love the sausage and mash, so much so,... More

where do I start - drinks order took ages to order and then I had to chase this up, shrimp starter I thought the chef was trying to teach them to swim again as they were floating in some kind of liquid, my partners main meal was cold, my burger was warmish and at the end we weren't even asked...
