It was a last minute decision to try our local carvery for the first time and I'm so glad we did! Absolutely delicious!! It was very busy and I can understand why...every bit of the carvery was cooked to perfection and we left with very satisfied full bellies! Great service as always too. Thank you Eight Bells :)

Came here for lunch last week with my friend who has small children. It was a hot day, the children were getting wound up and us adults needed a break! I suggested the eight bells as I remembered the huge outdoor children's area! I thought this would occupy the children and we could sit and relax whilst supervising them from... More

It’s difficult to know how to describe the Eight Bells. I know it’s a pub because they have a bar and they serve beer, but that is about the only clue. From the road, the frontage of the 8 Bells looks really uncared for, but inside, it is all very new and shiny with wooden floors and smart furniture, but... More

Went here with family on a Saturday night. We've been here about five times for a meal since Christmas this year. The food has always been top quality, always hot, fresh and very plentiful. This latest time I had Cajun Sea Bream off the specials menu on the chalk board by the bar. I was a great choice as it... More

I love the Eight Bells! I have been coming here for about 24 years now so have seen it through some changes, but it's still one of my favourite places to go on the Isle of Wight for food & drink. Since the new team took over a while ago now, they have done what not many achieve, they have... More

Went here last week found the food was good and home made children's portions were good and all had empty plates at the end. Good play area for the children

The 8 bells has changed since I last came 8 months ago. They have changed the decoration and it looks fantastic. The staff are friendly and there is a warm atmosphere the food we ordered was 2 baguettes and they were lovely. Also a sunny day and the garden was packed with people.

Visited here for lunch and sat out on the sun terrace, we both ordered a ploughmans lunch and was pleasantly surprised, they were lovely with plenty of salad, egg, cheeses, beet root and chutneys and all really fresh, we will definitely return here!

Visited the Eight Bells this evening, for dinner, having passed by a few nights ago. I had read good reviews online, so thought I'd give it a go. The pub itself is nice enough, with a nice spacious garden and an area for kids to play. It backs onto a river, which was nice to see too. I found that... More

We ate here recently with a large family group. The meals were very nice and delivered quickly. It is a favourite pub with locals and has been for many years.
