This is a place to visit in the summer, with the terrace next to the river Amstel. We arrived by ship for lunch. One of the grandchildren was in a wheelchair, staff was very helpful. The first service of mussels was not really warm on arrival, the second service was much better. The (grand)children liked there fish and chips, and... More

Friends from Amsterdam took us here for dinner on a lovely summers evening. We had a table on the terrace next to the river and were able to watch the boating activity as we waited ( for a long time ) for our meals to be delivered. Friendly staff. I ordered the unlimited mussels deal but could only manage one... More

A spontaneous family diner. Parking for one car is free and is situated aside the restaurant. At arrival our reservation was already correctly passed. We were warmly welcomed. The staff was very kind and hospitable. The food was tasty and nicely prepared, see the photographs and widely available. The French fries were already cooled, but instantly changed for warm ones... I am surprised about this restaurant. Only 1 piece of bread per person. I ordered 2 appetizers, 2nd one as a main course and this was really no value for money. Small portion, only the beef tartar, no vegetables, no bread/ carbs. We got a small cup of fries and salad to share. My colleague had fish, which was ok,... More

A very nice setting along the river Amstel in a small village called outside Ouderkerk a/d Amstel near Amsterdam. We came for the special lobster menu but were disappointed. The lobsters were too small and one of them not cooked enough. The weather was great as was the champagne. The service was slow but the crowd must have had something... More

The terrace of this restaurant is located directly at the small river Amstel in the very picturesque village of Ouderkerk, close to Amsterdam. The staff is extremely friendly. The core staff is professional, but the ones hired for busy evenings not: we noticed that several dishes first went to wrong tables. The food is OK, nothing special, but you are... More

Nice restaurant located in a nice place. Food is OK, but nothing special. Service a bit slow. I have been for dinner and was dark due to winter, but I expect to repeat the experience to valuate the surroundings.

I was treated to a meal by a friend who is now a bit of a local. He was very excited to bring me to the town of Ouderkerk. However, forgot that the nights were drawing in so I did not get to see much of the town itself, although what I saw was pretty enough. My friend has eaten... More

on a summer's day, an attractive proposition... food mediocre and overpriced, but then we're in 'rich folks' territory'..... :-)

We went for a dinner at the Groot Paardenburg with our family, we thought that the food was excellent, although the A la carete was fairly limited. Service was very slow but waiter apologized as they were shortstaffed.
