Always visit here when I am in the village of Chateau D'Oex. They have their own micro brewery, which is different, and their beer is excellent. The staff are very friendly and speak English! I like the food here and can recommend the fillet of perch with fries. There is also a salad bar. It can get quite busy after... More

We usually try different places on different nights in our trips. In Chateaux D'oex we ventured into the Brasserie de l'Ours on our first night, loved it and returned twice more! The food is varied with plenty of local specialities on offer, including racclette and fondue. There is also a range of meat and fish dishes, all portions being very... More

This restaurant is clean, even with tablecloths in the evening .The staff friendly and helpful and understand enough English to deal with allergies without problem. The menu has a variety of dishes , plentiful portions and very tasty. The steaks were tender and cooked to our requirements. Puddings and starters were ample and varied. The place was crowded out on... More

We had dinner at this cheerful and friendly brasserie-style restaurant with pleasant, though fairly slow service. The food was good, but don't come here if you're counting the calories - practically everything seemed to be cheese-laden and came in huge portions. We opted for the Croque Monsieur and could only eat about a third of it, which made it quite... More

There aren't a ton of choices in Chateau d'Oex but this was the wrong choice for us. It looks completely cute and lovely and clean, but there really are flies everywhere. We had to wave them away throughout our meal. I actually swatted two with our napkins. Two of my kids got macaroni dishes. The very expensive ($19) "Macaronis de... More

There's a bronze bear outside the Brasserie on the main street of Château d'Oex, so you can't miss it as you stroll through this little village. Inside there are locally brewed beers on tap. I ate a very good plate of rösti with melted cheese on top, watched some families gather to celebrate mother's day with a special menu and... More

This is a tipical brasserie, where you will find tipical swiss cuisine. It is located in the very center of the town, so it can be crouded. The food is good, and the service Ok.

The good and simple food is nicely presented and the service ok. Their home made beer is also very interesting. The amber beer is the best of the three they brew.
