Original tapas bar

I was there in 2012 and now had the chance to come back. Nothing fancy to be honest, in fact a quite busy place but at least for my understanding an original tapas bar. You can eat there for hours watch the people around you and enjoy life. Almost perfect :-)

What can I say, I've been going there since I was 5 years old and now I'm almost 33.. Very well known place to have "the vermut" over there or what English equivalent would be Appetizers. The best Calamars a la romana and Malaguenyes! Also try little fried fish called Sonsos, and don't forget Bravas! I'm already drooling by the... More

We like the tapas and the range available. The atmosphere is very good although if you don't like smoke you could always go inside. We don't like the wobbly tables!

Very reasonable prices for tapas, bocadillos and drinks. Came several times whilst in blanes. Airy inside and typical outdoor area set within the tree lined avenida.

This is a great place - no frills, full of locals and good, value for money. The staff are extremely busy but always manage to see when you need their attention. Waiters remember very long orders without writing it down and always seem to get it right. There's a great buzz about the place and, if you there for a... More

I have been visiting this place regularly since 1979. It has changed little in that time: authentic tapas, friendly staff who have an incredible memory for remembering a long order without writing it down and a relaxed atmosphere. Neighbouring cafes and bars have changed many a time but Terrassans, like Sa Palomero rock is always there and would never let... More

This restaurant is a fantastic experience! The food is traditional and of a high quality yet very well priced. I am surprised this isn’t a higher rated restaurant. I looked on trip advisor prior to visiting Blanes to see what was available as we were only staying for 3 days! After visiting the Texas bar for breakfast Alex (the owner)... More

A perfect tapas experience. Busy, bustling, light and airy. Waiters scurrying bearing plates of fragrant food. Full of locals and tourists, all enjoying a long lunch. About 50 varieties of tapas up on the blackboard. Their speciality is calamares alla romana - and I've never tasted better, fresher squid. Other highlights were the albodingas (meatballs) and the garlic prawns. The... More
