Down a side street, the Golf Isabel features dark woods and hangings, in contrast to most local restaurants. The service is equally restrained: a rather detached maitre d'/owner found me a single table, but warmed up when he found I spoke Spanish. The food was simple and hearty: anchovies on toast, followed by grilled gambas in chilli oil, accompanied by... More

One thing I think you must do when you are in Spain, is have a paella. Up until now we weren't able to find a resaurant that served one, and I don't mean the cheap touristic places that have an entire paella menu outside in pictures. So we were very happy to find a few paellas on the menu of... More

We were lured into this restaurant by the promise of a family recipe paella which which turned out to be the worst prepared and served paella we have ever experienced. It was cooked as a risotto, then placed dishonestly into a paelleria. It was unbelievably salty. A couple of prawns and small mussels were scattered on top. However the worse... More

Awful. The fish was not fresh and was suffocated by heavy and unpalatable sauces. Avoid. While the service was friendly and the decor was nice (the reason we were enticed into the place), the quality of the cooking w poor.

Very friendly and helpful staff with a good menu of fish and meat. I had the turbot which was cooked exactly to my liking. Wine recommendations from the owner were very good. A pleasant dining experience, go upstairs not quite as crowded a the downstairs bar area.

Very comfortable formal restaurant. The service was good but I thought staff could have been dressed more formally considering the type of restaurant. The food was good and very plentiful. I had seafood paella which nearly defeated my appetite and when I had finished was offered MORE. The overall cost was on high side but probably still fair value. There... More

My husband had Tuna Casserole. When it arrived it was clearly not casseroled, but a tuna steak in a strange sauce. He didn't finish it as he thought it had a strange metallic taste. He was violently ill all night. Will not visit again!
