We were staying very close to this restaurant and had eaten here in the past. The food is excellent and the choice superb. Our only reservation is the service. The women "in charge" comes across as a bit gruff and cold. It is to my great shame that I don't speak Spanish, Catalan or French, and maybe the gruffness is... More

We've eaten here in many occasions & the food never fails to disappoint. There's a lovely atmosphere to the restaurant & it makes for an enjoyable evening. The staff are pleasant however the owners could be nicer, don't let that put you off though as it's definitely worth a visit.

Have dined in this restaurant a few times over the years. The service is gentle and charming as long as you are not in a hurry. Slow down and enjoy the excellent food and wine list

Yes the decor is a bit old fashioned but don't you want that sometimes! From the minute we stepped in the door the service was great, we were taken to the second floor timbered ceiling dining room to a lovely table by an open window. We had the recommended white Sangria which was just lovely and was followed by a... More

Down a side street, the Golf Isabel features dark woods and hangings, in contrast to most local restaurants. The service is equally restrained: a rather detached maitre d'/owner found me a single table, but warmed up when he found I spoke Spanish. The food was simple and hearty: anchovies on toast, followed by grilled gambas in chilli oil, accompanied by... More

One thing I think you must do when you are in Spain, is have a paella. Up until now we weren't able to find a resaurant that served one, and I don't mean the cheap touristic places that have an entire paella menu outside in pictures. So we were very happy to find a few paellas on the menu of... More

We were lured into this restaurant by the promise of a family recipe paella which which turned out to be the worst prepared and served paella we have ever experienced. It was cooked as a risotto, then placed dishonestly into a paelleria. It was unbelievably salty. A couple of prawns and small mussels were scattered on top. However the worse... More

Awful. The fish was not fresh and was suffocated by heavy and unpalatable sauces. Avoid. While the service was friendly and the decor was nice (the reason we were enticed into the place), the quality of the cooking w poor.

Very friendly and helpful staff with a good menu of fish and meat. I had the turbot which was cooked exactly to my liking. Wine recommendations from the owner were very good. A pleasant dining experience, go upstairs not quite as crowded a the downstairs bar area.
