Wonderful view for a birthday meal..

We sat at one of the tables in the window overlooking the beach and harbour, it was probably one of the best dining views we could have experienced in Cadaques. I would strongly recommend this restaurant, and I will certainly come back. UPS: - the food: fish mainly. Fresh, locally fished, tasty and skillfully cooked - the views: located next to the beach. There are 3 windows overlooking the bay. Make sure to ask for a window table when yoy reserve although it's not guaranteed you'll be seating there. -... More

I'd say this is what you'd come for because the food, although very good, wasn't better than other good restaurants in town, just more expensive. Go again? Yes I would,... More

Our hotel recommended Es Baluard because they said it was CONSISTENTLY GOOD, FRESH FOOD. This is music to our ears! My husband and I were lucky enough to get one of the two prized tables overlooking the inlet of the sea and all of the bobbing boats. (Go early for dinner!) The meal was exquisitely prepared and the local wine... More

Vam anar recomenats per un amic i la veritat es que tot perfecte. Jo recomenaria l'arròs de cabra, es dels millors que he menjat mai. Les vistes son espectaculars i el servei també excelent. Un gran encert triar aquest restaurant. We were recommended by a friend and the truth is that everything perfect . I recommend the goat rice is... More

I say "The Best of Cadaqués" when I describe Es Baluard, because to sit at a table in their window and enjoy a meal overlooking Cadaqués is one of the best dining experiences the village has to offer. The storybook view is amazing. But there are better kitchens with friendlier service at a better price point in Cadaqués. What you... More

one of the best restaurants I have visited. Fresh seafood cooked to perfection in the way you want it. Very knowledgable and service minded staff in a nice setting. If you like seafood do not miss this one ! Their homemede olive oil is also a delightful experience.

I ate dinner at Es Baluard one night in late May and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I began with seafood croquettes, followed by hake in celery; both were delicious. As I understand it, the restaurant has only a few window-side tables (maybe only two?), so I was very pleased to find that my advance request for one of those tables... More

The food is good. Highlights included the shrimp and a refreshing salad. The decor is clean and beautiful. But, the best thing about this place is a great view and casual pace for an intimate lunch just off the super busy main drag. It's very relaxing.

We walked up and down the sea-front searching for the restaurant in the "sea wall" to the right of the Dali statue - as you look out to sea. Baluard being translated as Bastion. It is on the first floor above the promenade up some steps. When you look up you see the name and two nice window tables, one... More

Good quality of dishies specially fresh fish. Tradicional Costa Brava meals. Recommended all "suquets". A good quality of wines. Placed in front of the sea. It has to be on the top 10 of restaurants in Cadaqués
