Pleasantly surprised!

I was recompense this restaurant by a local foodie and being right at the promenade, I though it would not be as good as I was expecting. Little did I know... It was exquisite and will be back! Perafita wine: amazing!

Both the location, along the promenade, and the staff, were excellent. Unfortunately, the food did not measure up, which is surprising as it appears the restaurant is part of an operating winery MF (Martin Faixo) & my experience is that wineries usually know food. I started with a gazpacho which was watery and didn't have a lot of flavor. My... More

Can Rafa was a sublime dining experience. The restaurant had been recommended by the owners of the Hostal Marina Cadaques hotel, and they were spot on. I met the owner a few hours before my dinner, and he told me his son was out fishing, and he recommended the tuna, which they sear quickly on both sides, leaving the center... More

We visited MF Enoteca for lunch and this is a 'parent' restaurant. They have the FRESHEST fish available - still swimming almost. And the service? Amazing! You will feel like family.

Overall a nice experience - friendly welcome by the owner who showed us the fish available that night. My wife and son had the seafood paella which they thought quite salty but still delicious. I had a catch of the day fish, not very big, and at 24EUR I thought very expensive. However the other dishes were all very reasonably... More

I went with some French people I had just met in trying to find Anita, which was full and we were referred here. A very effusive welcome en Francais (which I can speak but maybe not so fast) from the owner who showed us the market fish he had. I ended up ordering the daurada (gilt head bream) and also... More

In the heart of Cadaques, you will find this little gem. A warm welcome from the owners is a poignant reminder why this place is really, really good. Its really all about seafood. Sea urchins, fish, Sonsos, etc....everything was great. Service was friendly and attentive, but the most memorable was the the sense that we were eating fish as fresh... More

Safe to say Can Rafa had the best seafood of anywhere I ate in Spain! My girlfriend and I shared a paella with an absurd amount of appetizers, each one better than the last. Every time another dish came out, we smiled and were excited to try what would be placed before us.

oh what a feast!!!!! the best sea food we had in years, or maybe ever. this might be due to the fact that the owners fish what you eat the day before or the same day even. i am a vegetarian and only eat fish when it is worth it and i would not have want to missed this one.... More

Located in the Paseo, as many other restaurants, has a good location with outdoor seating. A season local recommended it and the owner, Rafa, warned us: "we serve fish here" (meaning: don't ask for a hamburger here). Well, Rafa is honest and very good when recommending. The fish offer was excellent. The tuna he had fished himself (we saw pictures+video)... More
