good, but beware market price fish maybe?

I went with some French people I had just met in trying to find Anita, which was full and we were referred here. A very effusive welcome en Francais (which I can speak but maybe not so fast) from the owner who showed us the market fish he had. I ended up ordering the daurada (gilt head bream) and... read more

In the heart of Cadaques, you will find this little gem. A warm welcome from the owners is a poignant reminder why this place is really, really good. Its really all about seafood. Sea urchins, fish, Sonsos, etc....everything was great. Service was friendly and attentive, but the most memorable was the the sense that we were eating fish as fresh... More

Safe to say Can Rafa had the best seafood of anywhere I ate in Spain! My girlfriend and I shared a paella with an absurd amount of appetizers, each one better than the last. Every time another dish came out, we smiled and were excited to try what would be placed before us.

oh what a feast!!!!! the best sea food we had in years, or maybe ever. this might be due to the fact that the owners fish what you eat the day before or the same day even. i am a vegetarian and only eat fish when it is worth it and i would not have want to missed this one.... More

Located in the Paseo, as many other restaurants, has a good location with outdoor seating. A season local recommended it and the owner, Rafa, warned us: "we serve fish here" (meaning: don't ask for a hamburger here). Well, Rafa is honest and very good when recommending. The fish offer was excellent. The tuna he had fished himself (we saw pictures+video)... More

We have been coming here for 30 years. In Cadaques, they have been pirates and smugglers for 300 years and waiters for 30, but Rafa can cook fish and shellfish. Great tallerines in garlic, baby octopus a la plancha, and Rafa is responsible for bringing viniculture back to the extent region after the phyloxera epidemic of the 19th century. Follow... More

We went to Can Rafa after being recommended by someone. The owners of the restaurant also own Casa Anita, la Enoteca and the local winery Martin Faixó (Perafita)... but they are there, attending all clients. Some people complain because they are a little bit rough sometimes... but they are villagers, true "cadaquesencs" and it is worth seeing them working. We... More

a sarsuela to die for (well, take a 3 hour walk for, over the mountain from Port de la Selva), great wines from their own vineyard... the best in town! But what's the recipe for the apple mousse?

Always as busy and rushed, wish they would pace our dishes out more to enjoy but the food is fantastic and we go back every year. Start with the Tallarinas!!!
