Good food, good location, unfriendly service

Went here with a couple of friends, one of whom had eaten here before. Reasonably busy but managed to get a table outside. The service is slow and even when you try to get the attention of a waiter it goes unnoticed! On the plus side the food was good. I had the grilled fish and seafood, my... read more

For starters we ordered baby squid (which was not fresh, tasted rubbery) & also Cheese of the Earth (a plate full of cheese arrived), for main we shared a Paella (which was short of seafood, & tasted as if the whole salt pot had been added!). All in all for €57 this was expensive for quality of food! Service adequate,... More

This has to be the worst meal we have ever been served. 53 euros for a 2 course meal plus 2 small beers. Food tastless and virtually inedible

Had lunch here today, we went for paella and sangria. Very nice, ate it at a nice table beside the sea. Good service, polite and efficient. All in all a memorable addition to the holiday, highly recommended.

We have just eaten here, and to be honest the service was shocking. The food was mediocre at best and simply not good enough. My boyfriend had steak which was very dry served with uncooked chips and a tablespoon of mushroom sauce which they forgot to bring plus the cutlery after the first course. The waiter who served us was... More

The Food Bloggers were delighted, many years ago, to find a real restaurant in Corralejo on Fuerteventura. By real we mean 1) the menu is not accompanied by pictures and bad translations; 2) there are not touts standing outside it harassing passers by, asking ‘you hungry? I do you special'; 3) there are no cutsey themes, such as the cows-in-all-forms... More

We ate at El Anzuelo on the night of the burning of the sardine. We may have chosen the wrong night because the restaurant's location meant it was busy and they were not coping terribly well. Food was ok but nothing special and service was occasionally rude and generally uninterested. In a town with so many good value restaurants this... More

We visited 2 days after enjoying a splendid meal at their other resto La Mariana, which was hard to miss since the menu card is exactly the same. The rest however is not. Where to begin. We ordered 3 plates one after the other. The staff, clearly having trouble understanding Spanish completely ignored this and served all of our dishes... More

We tried this for lunch and have to say we were very impressed. Having not read the reviews surprised at the comments. Our impression was of professional service and good food. We had fish soup and a range of starters which were beautiful.

When I came to review this and looked at the other reviews I thought I had got the wrong restaurant. This was by far the best meal I had during the week we were there.
