Not the most obvious place to find but do seek it out! Beautiful fresh well presented food with unusual combination. We only had a week here but this place was so good we went twice. Mario and his staff do all they can to please. Excellent selection of wines too.

Visited this evening, genuine Italian, warm welcome. Each of us had our favourite which is carbonara. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, the bacon was really flavoursome. The dish as a whole was filling, delicious and well presented. Mario gave us an introduction of his food and sources before we ordered. We felt cosy and at home. Wish I'd been here... More

Can see why this place gets rave reviews, and that is the attention to detail and pride in their produce. Hams and salami imported from artisan suppliers from Italy as were some of the wines, we had lovely bottle of rose, plus ham freshly cut as you watched on their own traditional hand powered slicer. Then the menu, as the... More

Hidden away in a little back street, but wow, once found what a treat, service was fantastic from friendly staff, and the food is absolutely superb.

This restaurant was another real treat of a find and we would definitely revisit. We ate as a family and were made to feel so welcome. The quality and freshness of the food were simply suburb. The only downside is that the toilets are not inside the restaurant however this is a minor detail taking into account the level of... More

Visited La Scarpetta last night for the second time this holiday. We have been many times on previous holidays. As always the food was excellent. The fresh pasta is the best we've ever had. We will definitely be back before we go home.

From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel completely welcome. The food as usual was amazing after the menu was described perfectly by Mario. Ceviche to start followed by sirloin tagliata! My wife had the ravioli. All complimented by a very nice bottle of the house red. With out a doubt this is the best... More

The restaurant is in the super market just off the main strip. We were the only people in the place until just before we left another customer came in. Food was nice but over priced. Would not return
