This restaurant has it all for the fine dining holiday experience. We were recommended the Amura restaurant by the hotel where we were staying to eat here for a birthday evening meal and it certainly didn't disappoint. The food was at a very high standard, beautifully presented and very tasty. I would also say it was the right amount for... More

Not sure why the restaurant seemed to have so many poor reviews in the first couple of weeks in August. Fortunately we chose to ignore them and take the advice of the earlier reviews. The food was excellent, the service good, the live music sublime. There were 5 of us and we had a lovely round table making the conversation... More

Looks great from the outside, but the service is terrible - waited over an hour for a beer I ordered, and similarly almost an hour between starter and main course. Overpriced average food - trying to be something it isn't! Lesson learned - don't judge a book by its cover... Probably the best looking restaurant but certainly the worst experience,... More

Ate with family, and since our last visit it seems to have "gone off the boil" service was OK rather than good, the food was OK rather than excellent, I don't know if this is because it is busier, being August, but whatever the reason, it was a below par experience, and at the prices charged, that is unacceptable.

Have heard fantastic things about Amura so booked a table during a weekend break in Puerto Calero. Initial impressions were good despite a disappointing wine list, were served an appetiser of lamb on pomme puré which was very nice. For starters I ordered tuna tartar with avacado which was absolutely delicious, my wife ordered garlic prawns which were average at... More

Amura is as close to fine dining as you will get on the island of Lanzarote. Service is impeccable, food is of a very high standard and cooked to perfection and it's very well deserving of it's Michelin Bib. The Maitre D' was excellent, going through the specials of the day and his knowledge of the menu and ingredients was... More

Visited Amura today and was not disappointed. Warm welcome from restaurant manager. Starter of smoked cheese really good, main course of vegetable rice good, desserts beautiful. My only negative comment was that there was only one vegetarian dish on the main courses. I had emailed ahead too advising we were veggie so expected a better choice. But apart from that... More

Not sure why this place is categorised as being in Yaiza and not Puerto Calero, as it is in the heart of the port! We came for dinner as 4 people from Puerto del Carmen and it was well worth the short drive to get there. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The setting is very... More
