Great food and great location, but service could better

We had two very good dinners here during our week in Puerto Calero, and food wise this restaurant is far superior to anything lose on offer near the marina, offering grown up food at slightly higher prices than elsewhere, but well worth the extra in our opinion. The paella was particularly good... read more

The restaurant has indoors and outdoors tables. Outdoors, there is a choice of partially protected or totally open so depending on the time of year you can still enjoy outdoor dining in comfort. Lanzarote being the island that it is, there is generally a breeze or light wind all the time. In winter you feel it more. Like an idiot,... More

What a lovely surprise to find my hubby had booked a table at Amura to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I'd often passed it when visiting Puerto Calero but never quite managed to venture in. That was a real mistake, I now know what we have been missing all this time. The setting is stunning, overlooking a quieter part of the... More

We just loved the look of this place. Think Caribbean via New England and Gone with the Wind. We only had a pot of tea but spent 90 minutes here basking in the atmosphere and sun. I should imagine it is heaving in the summer, but today it was just perfect.

We called in without a reservation and after a little thought a table was found for three of us. The staff were unwittingly entertaining. There seemed to be only one drinks list for the whole restaurant which once viewed by a table was hastily recovered for the next group to take a seat. One of the waiters would frequently emerge... Read the other reviews and saw the ££££ signs however I felt this was a good value lunch in an idyllic setting. The wine list had something for everyone and we settled on a sauvignon blanc for 19 euros (which would get you a standard £14 bottle of house plonk in any UK restaurant) and it was exceptional. We decided... More

The food was a fantastic experience for all of us. An interesting menu with lovely takes on traditional dishes to give them a truly brilliant flavour that was exquisitely cooked. But the service was dreadful. Don't visit if your in a hurry, a simple lunch took us 3 hours, we had to chase up a coffee 4 times, and when... More

For my husband and me, this restaurant is the best in the Marina. It is so much nicer to look at than all the different pizza places, English or Irish bars with their fish, chips and mushy peas, that line the edge of the marina. The surroundings of Amura are just as nice and still look out onto the boats.... More

Situated... in the beautiful setting of Puerto Calero. Beautiful Sunset View! Atmosphere... Nicely furnished, up to date feeling, friendly staff, usual tourists do not go here. A little posh but authentic Food... Just perfect! From starter to dessert - all recommendable !!! Loved the roasted duck on mushroom risotto. Good wine choice! Summary: perfect value for money for those who... More
