Perfect Paella

Had a lovely dinner at Bistro Mar tonight of Seafood Paella which definitely seems to be the speciality of the house as practically every table was eating the same! We started with a prawn & avocado salad and some Scallops gratin which were both nice but to be honest I wish we had just given the... read more

It seems that everyone has a positive experience from this restaurant so we had high expectations of this restaurant and saved it for our last night in Alcudia- which was a big misstake!!! The food was terrible, the fish my husband order tasted disgusting! He'd never eaten something so bad like the sole walewska fish at this restaurant! And my... More

One of the best meals we have had. Great service and wonderful spot. Try the filet of turbot with garlic or turbot and prawn kebab.

Great location with a nice terrace. Kind and friendly service and good food! Absolutely good value for money. Way better than the average restaurant in the touristic Port d'Alcudia.

It was extremely busy on the Sunday afternoon we visited, however we were seated promptly. We shared a couple of plates of tapas, chiperones and pimientos, while waiting for the outstanding paella. It was a popular choice - everyone seemed to be ordering it. Plus a few were being taken away too! The staff were attentive, professional and friendly. The... More

Our paella de marisco was very good -although the waiter had no idea was "socarrat" meant, what completely astonished me, he being a waiter who serves paellas and me being a Spaniard from the interior part of the peninsula. The location is also very good, directly at the seaside/port, and the portions were generous -we could even take home a... More

Fantastic cuisine, highly recommended. Wide menu choice which is usually not a good sign of quality, however everything we tried was superb. Black rice paella was amazing and worth the wait to get it cooked. Calamari fried as delicately as tempura in a top notch Japanese restaurant. The kids menu was truly world class, freshly cooked.

Started the meal with a delicious plate of mussels, definitely order if you like them! Then we sipped on a nice house white wine, soon the seafood paella came and we loved it. The service matched the food, absolutely fantastic. We spent 60 euro for 2 with bread, olives, mussels, wine, paella, and dessert and it was money well spent.

This is the only restaurant in Majorca where we keep going after four years. We go there quite often and, whenever we have a visit, we don't dare to take them anywhere else. Everybody loves it! A friend of mine who doesn't like seafood ended up eating the baby cuttlefish, prawns and mussels in her black rice dish! As an... More
