First Class dining at affordable prices

On arrival ordered 2 Hendricks G+T's and was pleased when they came with cucumber ribbons and a good quality fever tree tonic. Good start. Menu was not extensive approx 8 staters and 8 mains. I don't think that is a bad thing as it can show food is prepared fresh. We dined with our two children 13... read more

One well known travel book said this restaurant is light years ahead of any in the area. Correct. Beautifully presented and imaginative menu, great extras such as chilled mango soup olive breads with dips. Wines and beer well priced. Staff very knowledgable, efficient but not intrusive. Great courtyard setting Tables not packed in. Price, a bit of a treat but... More

Great restaurant! Amazing food, beutifully presented in a nice atmosphere. I tried the lamb with polenta and my girlfriend had the duck, both dishes where exquisite! Service was ok and proper. Price is definitely above average but if you can afford it then its really worth it!

we returned to this favourite, which closed over the winter, and were not disappointed. The garden is great in the summer, but dining indoors, with its warm log burning stove, is a treat. They have had a makeover, with new funky lighting and a new large table for bigger parties of diners. The food was superb -a meltingly tender rack... More

My husband and I have just returned from enjoying an amazing meal at this delightful restaurant. The setting is full of charm and romance, twinkling lights, glowing candles and all set outside in a lushly planted garden, a very individual look and perfect for a twilight meal. From the complimentary taster to the dessert the meal was a taste bud... More
