This is not a restaurant for people on a budget. To be sure of a table you will need to book well in advance. It is probably one of the best restaurants on God's Earth. Don't look at the prices, simply enjoy each mouth-watering course and relax. You can sort out the credit card when you get home.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and comments in this forum. Definitely the location, atmosphere, quality of the produce and service, makes El Olivo a unique place in the Tramuntana mountains. I am glad you have enjoyed it. Look forward to your next visit. With best regards from Sunny Deià. Ulisses Marreiros More

I liked the chef and service. I liked the ambience. I liked the food. But something is missing. The menu needs to give guests a greater choice and needs to change more often. It is also ridiculously expensive - in fact, too expensive, bearing in mind that the pound is, at the moment, strong against the euro. Prices per dish... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your review and feedback about your experience. El Olivo has a unique setting in Deià in a 16th century olive press. Its terrace has most probably one of the best views in Tramuntana. The menu has 26 dishes, plus a cheese and wine dessert menu, besides two gastronomic set menus, of 5 and 7 courses.... More

Yesterday evening we had dinner in el olivi. We sat On a table with almost no light, so it was hard to read the menu or to see what exactly we got On our plate... There was no music... The price of the 3 way menu was not mentionned. A glass of champagne 23€ ( which you do not know... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your visit and feedback. I am very sorry to read that although you liked the setting and the service, you did not think the entire experience worth the price. Our prices are displayed clearly on the menu, which is visible at the entrance of the hotel, entrance of the restaurant and at the reception, so... More

This was a lovely dining experience in a very pretty room with excellent service. Very classy but not stuffy. The food good but not as good as I hoped given the sticker price and the high level of class and service at the hotel. We enjoyed our meal, but to tell the truth, we enjoyed our meal at some restaurants... More

I had the Suckling pig and creme brulé for desert. My friend had Duck Magret and some nice stuffed Canoli for desert. We had water for drinks and ended with a 140 euro check. They even charged 14 euro to use the cutlery? In my book that is outrageous. On the positive side the ambience of the place was second... More

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your recent review on El Olivo restaurant. It appears that it was the price that seemed an issue with your visit as you enjoyed the cuisine, setting, ambience and service. I regret that the price left you feeling a little disappointed, although our menus, with prices, are clearly displayed outside the restaurant and... More

El Olivo was the site for my 50th birthday dinner. Waiter was attentive and enjoyable; food was creative and delicious; "extra treats" arrived to our pleasure. Amazing.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and for sharing your experience. I hope that you enjoyed our cullinary level and the service. Mediocre food, but excellent service- staff were really lovely, attentive but not intrusive. I don't understand why staff don't ask why a guest returns a plate almost untouched. At these prices I would expect very good or excellent food. For example, I had the penne and lobster pasta starter. The pasta was rubbery, not al dente, the sauce was vaguely... More
