El Olivo Restaurante is a refurbished 16th century olive press, offering a superb menu and equally an impressive wine list. Situated in the beautiful Belmond La Residencia, this is perhaps one of the finest restaurants in Mallorca. The outdoor area, lit by candlelight is a supremely romantic dinner setting.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and review in this platform. I am delighted to read that you have enjoyed your meal and atmosphere in El Olivo. It is definitely one of the nicest terraces in Tramuntana. Next time my suggestion is really to enjoy cocktails at Sunset in our bar terrace and then follow for dinner in El... More

We had a special occasion to celebrate and El Olivo was perfect for it. Having never been to the restaurant or hotel before we arrived early and had drinks on the patio overlooking Deia and watching the sun go down. Heaven! I had e-mailed the restaurant in advance and asked for a nice table to celebrate the special occasion and... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and for sharing your experience in this platform. We are delighted that you have enjoyed your special dinner with us. I can not agree more with you, as the suckling pig and the soller prawns are really a treat. Next time try our Mallorcan lamb that is also one of our most known... More

Deia is blessed in many ways: wonderful location, great views, pretty architecture and at least one fantastic hotel (La Residencia, reviewed separately). But for anyone with a love of good food (and, let’s face it, that’s all of us), Deia is outstanding. We had the good fortune to eat on consecutive evenings at the three restaurants that seem to garner... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and detailed review. Definitely El Olivo has one of nicest settings in the whole tramuntana and a pity that you did not had the chance to experience it, when serving outside in the terrace, which accounts for more than 85% of the time, when the restaurant is open. The interior is also very... More

We ate here twice and were not disappointed . The ambience, service and food were excellent. To say the the suckling pig was melt in the mouth would not be an exaggeration but the lamb was as good as was the Rossini. We were well advised re wine and food and the staff were very well trained. Not pouring wine... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and review. I am delighted to read that you have enjoyed both, the culinary level and service we offer. I have eaten at El Olivo Restaurant many times over 36 years. I can say that the rustic, elegant atmosphere of the old olive press is delightful and the service is seamless. The last time I was there I was in-decisive as everything on the menu looked great and told the waiter to have the chef choose for me. I... More

We booked this restaurant before we went on holiday as it was somewhere I had always wanted to go to. We were not disappointed. The terrace is wonderful for pre-drinks and looks out over Deia village. The restaurant outside courtyard was secluded and romantic. All courses were excellent with a special favourite being the generous portion of foie gras starter.... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your visit and review. I am happy to read that you have enjoyed your experience in El Olivo. The setting is unique and most probably one of the best in the Tramuntana area, which complemented with our cuisine and service, makes it a very special place. I regret if the party on the upper terrace... More

We regularly enjoy 5 star, Mitchelin starred restaurants, mainly in London or Oxford and elsewhere. The food and service is comparable (although I would say no better, therefore on par). I would say the 225 euros excl. service for 2-3 courses incl moderately priced bottle of wine is quite a lot and we wouldn't be happy to have paid more,... More

Have eaten here a few times over the years. It has been fantastic. maybe suffers from its Chef's setting up their own places in the village. but it simply isn't special enough for the price. the view from the outside terrace remains stunning
