We ate here for lunch arriving at 3.15pm several other patrons were enjoying their lunch and at 4.15 pm a family arrived they certainly have late lunches in Spain. We ordered the menu degustation, 30E per head. Expensive for Spain but we thought it was worth a try. Bread strangely was another 1.50E each. The bread however was very good... More

We had a lovely table. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We ordered from an extensive menu, and because the place was quiet there was no reason for mistakes. An amuse-bouche of almond soup was refreshing. My wife's starter of tempura vegetables was well cooked but lacked imagination. My partridge "risotto" starter was over salted and the quarter partridge left... More

On our second night in Ubeda we wanted to go up market from usual tapas bars, this place fitted the bill. It was well set out with nice tables and sparkling glass. The wine list was reasonable priced and the menu was to suit most tastes. As before when ordering meat in Spain if medium/rare is required order yours well... More

Restaurante Antique is a small restaurant that has plenty of light and is very tastefully decorated. There is a tasting menu that costs 25.50 euros and includes a bottle of wine from Ribera del Duero, Rioja or Rueda. Both my wife and I had the tasting menu. The tasting menu consists of 6 small plates that are wonderfully presented. The... More

We went searching for some creative tapas and that's what we found. We decided to stay in the bar and not the restaurant. The service was nice, the food was exciting (Try the fried olives!) and the price was fair for what we got. I would strongly recommend it for people searching for something different or not strictly tradictional.

The food was okay. The service was okay although the restaurant was almost empty. It just seemed that the "upscale" nature of the decor, service and cuisine did not fit with the provincial character of Ubeda. And, of course, the prices went along with the rest. It could be the best restaurant in Ubeda; I do not know. The restaurant... More

This small restaurant in this glorious Renaissance city is a real jewel. Excellent, good value and good fun. There is a buzz at the bar where the elegant tapas are offered, tables on the terrace for raciones and the restaurant inside where the hostess Pepa guides a brilliant staff. Sea bream was perfect, flaky and white & served with a... More

The place is nice, clean, and the waiters are very polite and attentive. The food is also quite nice and we did enjoy our tapas and drinks. However, from my point of view, the place is a little expensive taking into account this is Jaén...

We decided to splurge for lunch on our day trip to Ubeda. My boyfriend ordered the steak of the house and I had the roast suckling pig with pasta (around 17€ - 18€ each). Both were absolutely delicious. Their bread was warm and served with local olive oil. Best of all they gave us a complimentary pâté they make at... More
