Lovely setting

Good is average but we go back every year just for the amazing setting and views. Wonderful spot, even just to have a drink.

Just a couple of kilometres out of Frigliana El Cerro is a must visit if you don't mind the tight twists and turns of the road. Apparently you can walk it in half an hour from the village and we intend to do that before we leave - it will certainly be less nerve racking.......... Once you're there though the... More

It is now 12 years since I discovered El Cerro, each time I come back to this area this is where I often have lunch and particularly Sunday lunch. Sunday lunch for me is paella, here they tailor make it, cooking it with the bits I like. Conchita the owner has grown into running the restaurant, the grumpy early days... More

We were there in December, sat outside to see the views which are superb ! The waitress was delightful, and very helpful, and the beer was nice and cold ! We decided to eat in the inside restaurant, because the cold wind was picking up. I'm not sure if the usual chef was on his/her night off, or if the... More

My wife and I have been visiting this part of Spain for 3 years now. We go around 3 times a year. Although we like to vary the places we go to eat, this is definetly our favourite! It is ran by a very busy Husband & Wife team. We call this place Carla's Bar, as I believe the Owner... More

This is a great family run bar and restaurant, the menu is simple and very local all the food is locally sourced and freshly cooked. The view over the valley to the sea is stunning especially if you are there at sunset. The garlic chicken is great but do not expect it to be in nice fillets, it is rustic... More

We spent a week in a villa just outside Frigiliana and this was our closest bar/restaurant (1.9km away!). We ate here twice in a row and I have to say it was one of the best, most authentic meals we had during my stay. On the first night we reserved a table and the lovely hostess gave us a seat... More

We have just spent a week in a remote property about 20 minutes walk down the dirt track from Bar El Cerro. Every night we walked the 20 minutes up the hill in 30 degree heat for our evening meal. The first night we were there we instantly got the feeling this was a local bar, very authentic. Not speaking any... More

We've been to El Cerro several times and it never fails to impress. Tucked away 3km in the hills beyond Frigiliana it's definitely worth making the effort to drive out and find it. The service may be a little quirky at times but the stunning views down over the countryside and sea more than make up for that. The food... More

Had a meal here for 4 adults and 2 children just last night (23rd). We had a lovely table overlooking the village of Frigiliana and surrounding area which was breathtaking. We ordered several dishes across the menu to share amongst us all and were advised by the waitress when we had ordered enough - and we certainly did not go... More
