We felt like we were on top of the world- and we were close to heaven in our choice of restaurant and dishes at El Adarve. My husband had the jabali (wild boar) and I savored the lenguado meunier (sole). The waiter was friendly, informative, and attentive. The views of Frigiliana are spectacular! We have eaten there twice and plan... More

El Adarve must surely have one of the best locations for a restaurant in Frigiliana. We ate here recently and our meal of wild boar (Jabali) in Chestnut sauce was delicious. The lobster bisque and Porra were also delicious, and the home made deserts were very good. This restaurant also offers gluten-free bread, a nice touch. The staff here are... More

My review is mostly based on the location of this place however, we did do lunch here on our Anniversary. We had a Serrano ham and Machango cheese salad which was preceded by warm crusty bread with olive oil. I say no to it being the best meal we have ever had but it came close. And with two small... We decided to visit El Adarve as our usual favourite, (Las Chinas), was very busy! After the hike uphill we were pleasantly surprised to find a table still available on the terrace. The food was tasty and beautifully presented.....I had the Hake in Garlic sauce, it was moist and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of garlic in the... More

Returned today after an eight year gap to find this lovely little restaurant still a pleasure to visit. After a long steep slog up the hill we started with a very welcome cold beer and sat for a while gazing out on the spectacular views. The lunch that followed was excellent. Hot bread rolls with delicious olive oil to start... More

My wife and I have now visited the El Adarve twice, unfortunately both times with a bad stomach as a result. The service is a bit uninterested and lazy, but the bill should wake You up.

First visit service was poor but food was okay although expensive for what it was. Second visit food was undercooked, returned and again service was poor, grudging apology. next table were treated lavishly including free drinks. Only 2 tables occupied all night.

Nice terrace, good food and they have some special Spanish Beers (ale and stout). Friendly service. Maybe a little bit more expensive than an average restaurant in this area, but certainly not overpriced.

We found this restaurant by chance last year and came back twice this year, whilst on holiday, as the food and the views were so good. It has a fairly large terrace with views of the white houses on the hills above Nerja, Spain. This scene is one the best in the world. My favourite starter I had there was... More

The service from both waiters was extremely efficient and friendly. The starters, main courses and desserts were all beautifully presented and most enjoyable. All complemented by a stunning view and sunset. Best restaurant of the week!
