El Adarve is located in the old picturesque part of Frigiliana and you need to climb a few steps by going up Calle Zacatin and turning right, but the views over the town and the food make it worthwhile. It is a very traditional Spanish restaurant with seating indoors but also a terrace overlooking the town and the valley. We... More

My wife and I thoroughly recommend El Ardave restaurant which provides and promotes the glories of Andalusian cuisine in particular Frigiliana honey and wine. The owners and staff are enthusiastic about their extensive menu, almost salivating over the choice they offer, with today's special being grilled red deer chops which were perfectly cooked, succulent and melted in the mouth. We ate here between two visits to The Garden restaurant, which put El Adarve at a definite disadvantage, which it wouldn't otherwise have had. Couldn't fault the friendly, good humoured service. I ate wild boar in a chestnut sauce which was beautiful. My partner was less impressed with his lamb steaks which although tasty were thin with large bones. We... More

Just had a lovely relaxed evening here with good food and friendly staff. We came a couple of times last year and enjoyed it and this time was no exception . It's worth the climb up through the old town to visit such a nice restaurant .

Very attentive and friendly staff, the views from the terrace as the sun goes down is very romantic. The food was delicious and we were given a free sorbet at the end of the meal. Thank you for a lovely evening

We last ate here about three years ago, maybe a bit longer. It was good then, just a long climb up from the centre of the village. Anyway, last night we did what we have saying we would do for too long; we went back. Why, oh why did we leave it so long! The menu is traditional Spanish, offering... More

We were staying in Frigiliana and came upon this restaurant in the old town. It had a great terrace with fabulous views but unfortunately on the evening we chose to eat here the weather had turned cool with a few spots of rain, so we had to eat inside. We both chose avocado with prawns to start and it was... More

We felt like we were on top of the world- and we were close to heaven in our choice of restaurant and dishes at El Adarve. My husband had the jabali (wild boar) and I savored the lenguado meunier (sole). The waiter was friendly, informative, and attentive. The views of Frigiliana are spectacular! We have eaten there twice and plan... More
