Ate here on 17 October 2014. Last here just over a year ago. Not disappointed. Wonderful food. Tasty and plentiful. Excellent service. Just over 40 Euros for 2 mains, bottle of wine, water, and coffee. Noted that the place that shares the square -- which I don't remember from last year, so might be new -- had about three customers.... More

you will find this restaurant in the church square, be carefull though as another restaurant has pinched the front of the square which is a shame as they are 2 star compared to the 5 star Taberna del Sacristan. The food and service is superb and if you get served by Miguel than your day will be complete. Massive portions,... More

My husband and I had a delicious meal here during our week in Frigiliana. I had the fish kebabs and my husband had the fish of the day - Sea Bream. Both were accompanied by tasty mixed veg and a baked potato with aoili - yum. All the fish was perfectly cooked and with delicious flavours and sauces to accompany... More

we enjoyed coffees and cakes in the sun whilst sitting in the very quaint square outside the church in Frigiliana. Frigiliana is a lovely Spanish village with white washed houses and very narrow streets and lanes leading up from the main town. It can be a bit of of a hike but well worth it.

Our hosts at Arcos de la Almona, Javier and Rosario, recommended this restaurant to us and I have to say we were not disappointed. We ate there on six consecutive evenings which I think speaks for itself. We did try three other restaurants but they did not come close to the quality of Sacristan. Guillermo and his staff were excellent... More

What a fantastic place to eat - nestled in a small square opposite an old church at the top of the village. The service was exemplary and the food amongst the best I have tasked in Spain. The profiteroles were to die for. We had two mains, two large glasses of wine and a desert and the bill came to... More

We were disappointed with our return visit, the starter choice was fish orientated and I found it restricted for a non fish lover Ordered from the specials board, Fresh Tuna and an Ox steak both arrived with veg and salad. Both meats were only just cook and raw in the middle. Also proved to be the most expensive meal of... More

Fresh, tasty food. Lovely setting. One of our favourites in Frigiliana. Attentive, lovely Staff. A real treat with the Guitarist playing in the background and in view of the beautiful church.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this taberna offers a beautiful setting, quality ingredients and wonderful service. However, be careful when ordering fresh fish dishes not included on the menu, the cost ramps up significantly!

This place was recommended to us by someone who lives and works in Frigiliana and it did not disappoint. Food, atmosphere and service all very good. Will go back again.
