A people-watching Dinner !

In front of the local church and in the town square, this restaurant offers good food, friendly service and an environment that evokes all that it is to be in Andalucia. The locals sit around on the walls chatting away, fanning themselves as the evening sun dips below the whitewashed homes. The... read more

This was a family visit in the early evening. We picked it down to the lovely outdoor setting in the Church Square. Whilst the standard of hygiene was good as they used tongs for the bread and butter, considered cutlery(dependant on the dish) and wine coolers for your bottle of white. What a great start to our meal . I... More

Ate here twice in what must be the busiest restaurant in Town. The square is a wonderful setting dominated by the church . It's very busy and would suggest booking a table. Food is very good but service on our second visit was poor in certain respects. We were seated for 25 minutes before we were offered a beverage .... More

We came a bit late and had to sit indoor or at the terrace facing the valley below. Beautiful view but not the ambience of the square - and spiced up with the smell from the kitchen. The prices was a bit to the higher end in this town and the quality was not following the price. Service was very... More

Lovely place to eat. Just outside the church. When its dark the church is lit and its soo cosy around. Very bussy restaurant at lunch and dinner time. Serves very large portions. I had a deliciouse, perfect cooked baby lamb leg. Afterwards a Yummy tiramisu. You must go there with a big apetite! Price is ok for what you get.

A good place to stop in the middle of town. The food here was a little better than most, although strawberries and pineapple in a prawn cocktail was different, quite pleasant really and the wife's Iberian platter was lots of meat and some sweaty cheese. All just a bit mediocre.

Visited in June .. Had a great meal .. Lovely location in quaint old part of Frigiliana overlooking the church. Meal very nice and as a coeliac they were very knowledgeable about Gluten free and were very helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Nicely situated in a lovely square the meal was ok as was the service. The meat and cheese platter was lovely for starters and the main course was to a reasonable standard although the veg left a lot to be desired as everywhere in spain would not race back but as there is little choice in frigliana there are worse... Another visit to Frigiliana means another lovely dinner here. The waiters are really friendly and helpful, the portions are generous and the fish is excellent. What's not to like?

The square situation is very nice and popular, but the waiter service was brusque and the food was large portions of average quality - meat dishes a bit oily.. accompanied by twee music.Ok but not deserving the reputation we had read about.
