Great Tapas, freshly cooked

We stopped for a late lunch and our tapas was cooked while we waited. Fresh and hot, very tasty and using fresh herbs. There small restaurant is nice, we sat outside where there's a small terrace onto the narrow street. Get there while it's in sunshine, or later if you want shade. Really nice... read more

We went for a wee day trip to Frigiliana and after walking round this charming town we decided to stop at this quaint little tapas bar. We ordered the goat's cheese salad and omelette, as we fancied brunch type food, and there was a mix-up and we were given the tapas for 2 instead. We were given the option to... More

A very tasty tapas plate for two for 18 Euros. Nice selection of food with spicy options. Only 3/4 tables outside in a narrow street so the traffic is a bit irritating, but a pleasant experience overall and good value.

Walked past this rustic little restaurant several times during our week in Frigilana and the food looked good but it didn't have the panoramic terraces of some of the other places in the village so we didn't go immediately. So glad when we did go - the food more than made up for the lack of a view, although the... More

We discovered Al Fuente last year and enjoyed it so much we could hardly wait to return. We were not disappointed; in fact it was so good we ended up eating there three times in one week. The selection of tapas was different each time and the quality was excellent as was the price. Jan is a fine cook and... More

As usual, we always find the best restaurants at the end of our stay, and so it was again, If you think you've had enough tapa try this place. Warm friendly hosts, in a beautiful, small rustic restaurant, serving fantastic food with great flavours. What more could you want?

We'd walked past Al Fuente several times during our stay in Frigiliana as we'd eaten there years earlier and it was only ok. Things have changed! We opted for the €17 tapas plate for two and what a great decision that turned out to be. The excellent waited explained each one to us and the dishes themselves were delicious. They... More

Onthe main Calle Real lane it would be easy to walk past this small restaurant/tapas bar - BUT DON'T! A charming atmospheric wee eaterie with only 5/6 tables and equally charming hosts. The freshly made tapas selection was as unusual as it was tasty. Well worth a visit!

Jan is living his dream making fresh inventive dishes, some traditional with a modern twist others completely of his own making. dates with goats cheese, couscous with beetroot, meat balls with cloves...all winners. well worth a visit. book in advance so you...
