We've been living in Riviera for over 9 years , we've been to the old Max Beach lots of times. There is so much choice in the area but you can't beat Chez Max for the location and the stunning views of the Med. We've brought family and friends here the food Is good but not " fine dining "... More

We visited Chez Max for an impromptu family meal. The location and view is undoubtedly very impressive - the views over the med are lovely, unfortunately though the food was poor and expensive for what it was. I had the tempting sounding suckling pig and spanish style potatoes which was a particularly poor dish - a huge slab of meat... More

The indoor/outdoor setting in front of the ocean, coupled with expertly prepared and presented food makes this restaurant a great restaurant by anyone’s definition! We've really enjoyed excellent service & atmosphere. We do recommand this restaurant wholeheartedly!! Helia & Michael

Fabulous view, friendly helpful staff very good service. The suckling pig was incredibly succulent, the wine was fruity and smooth. Both desserts were decadent. After eating in the restaurant time to walk through to Max Pub and have a few games of pool. Both places are well worth a visit. The G&T is worth going in for too!

Despite some of the reviews I'd read I decided to go to Chez Max (as it's now called) based on a recommendation from a friend. I was also encouraged by the play area for the children featured on TripAdvisor by one of the reviewers that had been to the restaurant. Much to the disappointment of my two young sons, we... More

Chez Max as it is known now was recommended by some friends who go there on every visit. The location is fantastic with a terrace overlooking the sea but unfortunately the weather was not warm enough to sit out that evening. The food was excellent and afterwards we went to another part of the building which was a pool bar.... More

Chez Max is a different class of restaurant to most of the others in the area, the setting, service and quality of the food is top notch, prices are reasonable as we had the set menu. Treat yourself and have a great night out.

This has always been one of our favourite restaurants to visit when we are staying in the area. On average we eat there at least twice during our holiday. However, despite a lovely refurbishment we were very disappointed with our (one) meal there this year. We ate on the terrace - the view is beautiful and one we never tire... More

We've been coming to Marbella area nearly every year for 30 years. Always have looked forward to going to Max's beach for a salad, in my mind the very best. Last year disappointed to find it closed (sept). Will it be open mid sept this year? Also do you still serve those salads? I would agree the greeting one gets... More

It's a beautiful setting, lovely ambience, the service in the drinks area was excellent. The food is ok, just doesn't live up to expectations. The starters were good, we had lobster croquettes, prawn and cod pil pil, fish soup, duck spring rolls etc, and everyone enjoyed them. The main courses weren't as good, the steaks which we asked to be... More
