Here we had yesterday the best tapas we ever had in the region. Also the wine was excellent and this for a very reasonable price. We will be back ;-)

We visited for lunch and although the bar does have a large menu many of the items that we wished were not available, although what we did have was tasty and good value. It is a popular place with not many tables but reservations can be made. When it is busy it can be very loud so if you are... More

Tucked away in one of the many small streets in Mijas Pueblo you'll find this fabulous little tapas bar/restaurant. I first visited the bar mid December to introduce my father to Tapas. We returned on a number of occasions throughout our stay. The location, the decor, ambience, service and food I could not fault. A fabulous place for tapas, especially... More

An excellent little hideaway in the marvellous Mijas Pueblo ..... Great tapa menu, some a little small on the portion size but equally you know what your paying for so no cause to moan ..... A great selection of wines, from house to brands. Service is attentive, smart and prompt. The venue is clean, funky modern and smart with easy... More

13 of us spent the afternoon in this tapas bar/restaurant yesterday and the food and service were great. Beautifully presented tapas which were delicious. Excellent service and wine recommendations from Manuel (all Torrres wines). The olive oil and balsamic which was served with the bread was outstanting. My first visit but certainly will not be my last.

We had the most fantastic tapas here last year on a fleeting visit to the beautiful Mijas Peublo. Now we are staying a week, we couldn't wait to try this again, but were soon disappointed. The portions were far smaller than last year and just didn't taste as good as we remembered. Only one prawn! So we tried again a... More

Decided to try this bodega as when we passed they used good quality wine glasses! Also it was always full. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food was superb as was the wine. The grilled goats cheese with bitter orange marmalade and mint was amazing as was the black pudding. Would advise booking.

Very very cool place. Lovely Tapas (quite alternative) I recommend the Pork Medallion topped in Caramelised Onion and Goats Cheese! Lovely house wine and friendly staff. Get a table outside and sit in the street round trendy barrels they have as tables.

I visited Bodega el Placer again recently when passing through Mijas. It was just as good, if not better than last year. The sweetbreads were one of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten, absolutely mouthwatering delicious. Other highlights included the sardines, the anchovies and the padron peppers. Do not miss this place if you visit Mijas!
