Not sure how this place gets #3 in Machico, very ordinary, fillet steak grossly overcooked. Once served with food felt unimportant, staff rarely visible. Had some lovely food in the town since we arrived, so this was disappointment.

I have been to this restaurant many times and the best atribute I need to share is how attentive the serves are with kids. They talk to them, ask how they are doing, lend them pens so they can draw and tjey even made a little face out of cucumbers and olives on my two kids' plates. I really liked... More

Really nice Restaurant. 100% portuguese style with portuguese food. The prices are more than correct, the food is also really good. So if you look for good food and correct prices, this restaurant is a good adress!

We decided to try O Casco after reading the reviews on here. I must say that we didn't have the same experience as the 4 and 5 star reviewers. When we got there we asked the aloof owner if they could do us tuna steaks medium-rare. No problem, he said. OK, so we sat down at a table for two... More

This place didn't look much but the food was very good, the service by the owner was attentive but not rushed and the prices were very competitive.

This is by far my favourite restaurant/cafe in Machico with a friendly owner Luis and all his lovely staff, good service and great food competitively priced. I adore their steak sandwiches as well as all their picados, from the traditional beef picado to the espada and not forgetting the octupus picado. Their chocolate mousse is out of this world- the... At first glance this little restaurant may seem a little on the average side, but don't let the vague menu item translations put you off; the food is delicious, fresh and affordable, the solemn restaurant keeper is extremely nice and liable to hand out free drinks if youre friendly! Lovely atmosphere, pleasant music, a popular with the locals which in... More
